If anyone is interested the zurr en argh story people know about is from the Grant Morrison run on Batman which I highly recommend, it won’t be for everybody but it’s my favorite run on Batman comics and one of the best imo. If you just want the volume this costume is in, then it’s the black hand volume, but I recommend reading the Batman and Robin volume prior to it.
To explain the suit as used in the black glove story- Batman has prepped for everything at this point, including attacks on his psyche, and the black glove do exactly that. To combat this scenario Batman developed a backup personality in the zurr en argh Batman, and he makes this costume out of literal garbage he finds in an alley.
I’m not entirely sure but I’m pretty sure this is an alter for when a villain corrupts Batman’s mind and I could talk about how Batman and Bruce aren’t the same person a lot lol
I agree I wish all the guys that interviewed him would have brought up valid criticisms instead of praising him for over an hour. The only contentious point they brought up was side eye. How about when are we gonna get better scaling? Most McFarlane Batmen are huge. I wish I could just have a decent scale for the JL I’m trying to assemble.
This figure is intriguing. Serious face and bright comic suit contrast. Plus that stitching. There could be really more painting to give washed tone to that yellow. Please someone make custom paint on it..

Yea Todd really needs to work on scale. And articulation range. There is no reason these figures shouldn't be able to crunch forward. All the articulation points are there but Todd doesn't understand how to engeneer an action figure. I mod all of my DC multiverse figures because the articulation is there but because of the way he shapes the molds, the range is virtually worthless. But if you take these figgs apart and dremmel out just a tiny bit of plastic. Then you can achieve Mafex levels of range, and usually without any gapping.
That and stop attaching the capes to the figure. I would trade it being absolutely secured for a removable cape without peg holes(or smartly hidden peg hole or caps provided).

To everyone wanting to know when to go for this, today my area got put out. Right now until April 16th is the big spend $50 get $10 off and spend $100 get $25 off. The stores in my area just dropped 2 per store (varies surely) also there were loads of Gold Hazmat Batmen (light up chest) it’s ok, enough bats for me for the moment....also the Starro Build-a-figure Ultraman just got put out. Good luck all!!!!!....if you collect WWE Legends, Series 14 (DX Road Dogg/Chyna/‘02 Edge/Mark Callous) dropped also.
I hate to say this, but i have to. McFarlane sucks! I have to agree some of the recent comments. The articulation is there, but the ab can't really go forward and back that much. And one of the worst is their scale. The scale getting taller in every release, though i prefer their scale to be in 6 inch just like Marvel Legends, Mezco and Mafex. But thankfully for that, i can save my money. Because i skipped any of their product, unless they fixed their current problem. One more thing for you Todd, please don't use your ego over your your customers who's been purchase and complaining about your your designs etc. You should listened to them, that way you can attracr so much customers.

Indeed, this guy is too tall. However since it's more like a creepy Batman you can maybe fudge it a little bit to make him look shorter by having him hunched over a bit
