Tyco® DV-5A Pre-Action Actuation

This video visually illustrates the step-by-step actuation of the Tyco Model DV-5A pre-action valve. The DV-5A pre-action valve is designed to provide maximum protection against inadvertent flooding from the sprinkler system piping.
Where water delivery time is critical, a QRS-2 Quick Release Switch may be used to increase the systems response time and accuracy compared to conventional mechanical accelerators.
In addition, the DV-5A system for Quell helps protect high-rack refrigerated areas up to 55 feet. This system combines the QRS-2 Quick Release Switch with linear heat detection and Ultra K-34 or K-17 sprinkler heads for maximum protection.
