I believe this is the channel Ed was talking about with the EC interviews:

The pre-code era was often a sleazy business and Gaines led the pack. As the story goes, Sheldon Moldoff went to EC with 3 horror comics titles. He signed a contract with Gaines. 3 months later, Gaines publishes Crypt of Terror completely reneging on the Moldoff contract. Then Gaines' lawyer threatens to have Moldoff blacklisted if he takes them to court, so plagiarism in EC isn't surprising lol.

yeah we tend to view the "Classics" with gold-lensed glasses but the comics industry was pretty shark-infested just like any entertainment biz.

As a kid I found the "Autumn People" paperback in a used book store. I had no idea who George Evans was, but his work on "the Small Assassin" was staggering.

Love Ray Bradbury, I was very fortunate to meet one of my literary heroes at SDCC and photograph him some years ago, although he didnt seem to be in the peak of health, it was wonderful that he came to meet his fans, a true legend in every sense of the word. - another great kayfabe video

This collection is fantastic. It's a pity that Dark Carnival is not in print. Second hand copies are crazy expensive.

You may already know this, but most of the tales in Dark Carnival were reprinted in The October Country in the mid 50s, and its many editions are much more reasonably priced.

I had read Fahrenheit 451 as part of a high school English class. That was my first exposure to Bradbury. My second was "Touch and Go" which was in Vault of Horror, I think. When I read that it really got me interested in reading as much Bradbury as possible!

Completely irrelevant, but I never knew "Al" Williamson was "Alfonso" (at 24:21). Great video, as always, and what an amazing book -- you guys just made me spend some US$ 75 (when I can afford it, that is).
