lol people complaining about his guitar tone... uhm this is a recording? as long as you dont hear it with your own ears there is no reason to complain. maybe the micorphone was fucked up. maybe not. who cares??
The thing that separates Paul Gilbert from the others guys is that most of his songs have a strong base in rock n roll that's actually rock n roll and not floaty and gay. That and when he solos his licks don't seem like they are practice pieces, they actually have rhythmical value to his song and to boot he's learned to play over chord changes rather than sticking to one key/scale over the past few records and his playing has increased fields since
yeh sometimes when I'm grumpy I'll be complaining at how he played the same lick three times in sixteen minutes... blah blah yeah his shoe laces were terrible... Enjoy the great playing, kids! He's a very slick player and performer.
Dude just has dozens of different guitars, and he swaps them really often. The awesome thing about guitars is all of the different sounds you can get from different pickups, I guess once you have Ibanez making guitars and Dimarzio making pickups for you, you get bored playing the same thing. The Dimarzios in the original red Fireman are humbuckers anyway, just stacked on a single. Great sounding guitar, though, it goes from clean spanky tele tones on the bridge/middle all the way to Journey creaminess on the neck with the tone rolled back.
Love watching Paul !! One of my favs!!!
I like his voice. Nothing to talking about his guitar skill.
I know we're all here for Paul...but DANG that bass player is legit. I want to hear some more of that funk!
+Jeremy Barber Thanx Brother :-D

strange.... seems like a line in recording from a mixing table
Didn't take long for Gilbert long to drop his single coil pickups.

that was not okay paul gilbert
Does this guy even eat ?
I think the bass players been stealing his food by the looks of things.
fast metabolism
justin kenny
Low appetite.
Marfans syndrome
Haha. This isn't mixed. Has nothing to do with tone - it's all there.
This guitar has humbuckers...think its just the mix..
Better he turn to blues than country!!!
He's crazy lol
Gitarre 🎸 spielen kann er ja, aber mit dem Gesang lässt er es lieber.! 😀
Not as good as Paul's usual guitar tone
Darrell Knight Sounds like he's using a fuzz pedal....
biofear182 probably a DI signal from the amps, so you don't hear the effect of the cabs
This equalization make paul look bad.
He's there to show guitar skills not his voice
greatful guitar player .....but please Mr paul Gilbert don't sing :) :) :) or try to bring a professional singer it will be better
3rd option:
Train moar.(better mixing maybe too?)
I believe he could do well, just gotta continue doing it *nods nods*
you alright,, this not cool performance of paul
i'm sure paul be better with his blues play
Sincerely i don' t like this study of Paul, he is a best guitarist but maybe this generes of jazz doesn't have feeling..
terrible production but paul is still paul
Paul is a great guitarist but can not sing for shit
Boring
Al Williams Really? That was ok for me.
