You’re running one of, if not the best metal detecting channel on TH-cam. Your knowledge of not only coins, but history, your fade in shots, and the fact that you’re from a place with so much history set you apart from the rest. Thank you for the wonderful videos!
Your french is now almost perfect, the lessons during the Micheal Hare Memorial Rally have paid off :) And yes we're both still watching your videos and were over the moon when you mentioned us on Sunday:) happy days! Keep up the good work!
Once again, I'm watching The Curse of Oak Island and they found a coin and they're using all the fancy xrays to determine what it is, and I'm like, duh, it's a William III, Gulielmus, shilling, 1600s, OBVIOUSLY. 😊
I did the same thing! I said, it’s a Gvillimus. My husband looked at me like I was spouting gibberish. Then they said it’s a Gvillimus, and he looked at me again, confused. I just smiled. Thanks for the education, John!
Albert has been on fire in the last couple of videos. Great finds for you both. I can't believe you haven't gotten over the 50K subscriber mark yet, come on all you viewers. Cheers from Texas.
John and Albert - Thank you for taking us along for the discovery of treasures. Congratulations on the silvers and Albert's many coins. Thank you aksi for sharing the gorgeous sunset.
Many thanks James. Glad you enjoyed. I shouldn’t have given Albert the Jethro programme….. he’s flying now 🤪 some great finds, the apprentice has taken over the teacher 🤣
18:12 my guess is the reigns guide and that was the part that screwed into wood but the screw threads are worn out back to the vid….. lots of great stuff. Looking forward to that big metal detector. Thanks for sharing. See you on the next one.👍🏼👊🏼
And it could just as well be a piece of gold or silver vs. A bottle cap or piece of aluminum….just the joys of detecting, hu? Love your channel & episodes. Thank you from America. Oh, BTW…patriot Americans are now relaxing following the election outcome for President.
22 minutes in you were correct both statements... Russia also invaded Poland in 1939 and so did Germany. They split it between them. Nice hunt, great field.
Great video as usual, such a help to myself in getting the hang of the Deus 2, I notice you always use the eliptical coil rather than the round 11", is there any difference in performance between the two, I just can't decide, cheers Ash
I'm sure that by now you will know the date of your William Iii silver coin, but it looks to me like 1696. To straighten it pop it between two very smooth pieces of wood and tighten it up in a vice.
Are you guys picking up all those potatoes you're digging up? If not, what a depressing waste of good food. Even if you don't want them, a food shelf would.

I’ve learnt so much history from John. Especially surrounding the coins he finds.
Thank you for all the recent, GREAT videos!!
That really is a great permission. Albert is on fire! I loved the big copper decoration. The sunset was gorgeous.
Another top video John the coins keep coming on that field well done to you and Albert 👍
They made fancy panels like that for carriages too. Nice hunt guys
It’s always nice to know even after 25 years of searching you still find something “new”.

An incredible amount of coins coming out. And a huge amount still to detect! So hopefully much more to come
Amazing Hawl Albert, Indiana Nathan
Great video, great finds, good company and a brilliant sunset. Who could ask for more.
Couldn't agree more! Thanks Tom

That is the clearest bag seal I’ve seen yet.💜

Great dig John. Can never complain about a coin especially when one is silver. Albert had an awesome day too!
Awesome finds for the both of you, nice ring Albert
lovely sunset!
Thank you verrry much my frrriend!!good luck from France!!🍀🍀🍀🙏
Beautiful
I read that the RAF in WWII magnetized their 4-hole buttons so that they could be used as a compass if shot down.
Gorgeous sky. 💜💜💜
Albert is on the finds, trade places 😂
Hi John. Could the item at c18.30 be part of a pair of sissors or candle snuffer?. Cheers, John.
If you ever go to Las Vegas to gamble...better take Albert with you.
If you find that same William sixpence again, it means Albert’s rejected ya, John 😂
Great finds again both of you. What a field. I think Albert is clearing up in there 👍👍👍
Potato for the win!!!
A double potato day, no less!
Good luck to both💜
And it could just as well be a piece of gold or silver vs. A bottle cap or piece of aluminum….just the joys of detecting, hu? Love your channel & episodes. Thank you from America. Oh, BTW…patriot Americans are now relaxing following the election outcome for President.
Is the farmer okay with you two keeping the tatties you dig up? 😉😆
Looks like a fine day for detecting. Cheers, and ATB!
Aloha!
17:45 looks like a reins guide
Love the videos as I’m just in Dundee 👍👍
The round thing with a bit sticking out I think is part of a Tudor purse bar 🤔
Do you have plans for the horde hunter?
John if you have ever had a good turner please could you let us see one please.💜
John I think Albert is trying to propose to you, that’s his second try 😅.💜
1950's coins suggest that whatever went on in that field, people in their 70's will remember it. Ask around in the local pubs/shops. Berry pickers?
Broken pair of scissors just before the water came out
Well done
Did the Perthshire textiles industry import US cotton during the 19th c., and if so, have you ever found a bag seal from that?
I noticed the deer tracks under your feet at 03:20.
Me too. Quite small, the ones I saw.
22 minutes in you were correct both statements... Russia also invaded Poland in 1939 and so did Germany. They split it between them.
Nice hunt, great field.
The lead 'weight' had what I thought I saw, a number 5 on it
Great video as usual, such a help to myself in getting the hang of the Deus 2, I notice you always use the eliptical coil rather than the round 11", is there any difference in performance between the two, I just can't decide, cheers Ash
Albert needs his own channel lol❤
👍🙌🙌
On it… hi john 😀👍🏴🏴🏴
well I received a notification and the shock has sent my system has gone silly 😅
I was thinking that ‘thing’ may have been part of a very old scissors, but it looks like it’s bronze.
18:26 Looks like part of scissors handle to me!
Mate look at 5:28 that blue piece looks like a marble!
hi john and albert
wow
❤
Scissor handle? 🍻🇦🇺
What equipment and program was Albert using?
I'm sure that by now you will know the date of your William Iii silver coin, but it looks to me like 1696. To straighten it pop it between two very smooth pieces of wood and tighten it up in a vice.
Is 20 coins from one farm not officially classified as a horde?
You should borrow Albert metal detector seems it finds more coins then your detector.
First dig, did anyone notice the deer footprints?
I did notice the deer hoofprints but awfully small. ROE Deer or smaller ?
Yay first
It's not a cog John its a sprocket or gear wheel, cogs are wooden
That’s it- Anyone want to buy my Deus- I quit. ❤❤❤
Curse of oak island is a joke
👍🏼👍🏼✌️🫵🫶🇨🇿🇨🇿🇨🇿🇨🇿
