Nice demonstration of Tamiya's line of colored clear, which I have seen advertised, had an idea of it's use, but now have seen it aptly demonstrated, in LEDs. Also appreciated the confirmation, that LEDs soldered in the way demonstrated does not compromise their function.
A simple video, but concise, to the point, with clear speaking. Excellent, and thank you.

This is great. I have about 250 SMT LED's 0603 size, but I think I'll keep resistors separate near the supply instead of soldering right onto the SMD LED. I think I'll use mine for switch and block signals :D

Late to this party too..... What are the applications for these surface mount LEDs? I am looking at all options for locomotive step and ground lighting as well as caboose / passenger car marker lights. Thanks

Good effort for the time but it is outdated for 2018. You can now order pre-wired SMD LEDs in warm white and other colors. Unfortunately this does not show how to install the LEDs into the light socket or cast brass headlight.

Hey Bruce My name is Kenny and I was just wondering if u could show ur buzzer. I'm trying to build one so I can find the positive side of the leds. If u built it can u show how and what material u used to make it and what volts it uses. Please get with me on this. it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'd use Blu Tack instead of Scotch tape because the tape is too sticky.

interesting points ,if anyone else trying to find out how to build a model railway layout try Vaxicorn Railroaders Membership Guide ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my work buddy got amazing results with it.
