One bit of advice: keep a bottle of 91% (or greater) isopropyl alcohol on hand to dry off the electronics after a crash in the snow (or in the rain for that matter).

It is best to begin with a beginner ready to fly FPV kit. It takes some skill to fly FPV but eventually everyone gets the hang of it.

Winter is back again. I know what youre going through. Some winters we have to decide on wearing pants or shorts to the Rose Parade. Some people wear sweaters but thats because theyve camped out overnight. You should try the sweater thing, Not for You, a sweater for the drone.
You got some good flight time with a 380 in that cold. What was the voltage at when you landed.? Man those branches can jump out and bite you lololol! i own one.. definitely my most fun quad to fly and people bug out seeing something so small, so fast and powerful. Quiet too.. I installed gps to see my speed and i'm hitting 60 -65mph, even faster with some tail wind. She's so small it feels like you're going 120mph!. This thing is Amazing!

Great little drone, was watching to see if it had prop wash after loops and it seemed OK for such a small from factor...but I did notice your telemetry kept cutting in and out... with crossfire? what's with that?
That is very common. It means weak telemetry signal back to the Transmitter (due to firmware on the receiver as well as each time battery output is low). I ignore it as it does not affect the connection. Butif it drove me up the wall I could change the settings in the radio.
Love your vids! Great energy. What strap do you have on your goggles? Is that the standard strap or aftermarket? (I have the v2, and want a split strap!)
I checked out your affiliate link to their website. I really like the design of that frame. The camera looks like it has pretty good protection around it compared to many other drones. I really like all the access to the air unit. The USBC slot, the micro SD card slot, the bind button. That is a really well thought put together Little ripper! I need to unload some of my older equipment so I can justify buying some more new goodies lol. When a package shows up at the door and my fiance intercepts it before I get home lol That's always interesting😂😅😢. This thing really looks like it could take a beating. The fuselage looks like it could take a hard hit, what do you think about the arms? Would it be hard to change the bottom plate in your opinion? On another note. One of my favorite Little rippers was the gep RC phantom HD. I had to change out the F4 AIO for a flywoo f7 AIO because I kept blowing the board up lol😮😢. Since that change I haven't had any issues. But after flying the '03 system, it kills me to go back to the Vista. The signal strength and video quality is so much better with the '03. I'm contemplating trying to retrofit an '03 into that drone. The biggest issue I'm going to have is making enough room for the camera to fit! If I get it to work I'll send you some pics! Merry Christmas! Ref the arms on the drone, I’m guessing they should be fine because they are short and stubby and the drone, with battery, is not packing much weight.
Start with a RTF (ready to fly) FPV kit like the BetaFPV Aquila16 or Sub250 Whoopfly16. Once you learn how to fly in Acro mode (also called Manual mode), then you can invest in quality gear & FPV drones.
This is an FPV Drone, there is no maximum. You are probably thinking of GPS Camera drones from DJI where a maximum range is advertized. Range does not exist in the FPV Hobby because these are not beginner drones that come in a box with the battery, battery charger, Remote, etc.
If Elongated Muskrat made/designed it it would look stupid, you would've had to wait three years on a waiting list, and when you got it it wouldn't be wired right. If the "cyber truck" is any indication.
I agree... a bit expensive, but so far it seems the company is selling them in great numbers. Certainly is a fine piece of kit compared to the competition.
@@IronOre33you do realize that the O3 unit is reusable right? Most of the money is due to that unit. They sell it without o3 if you want it cheaper and can use something else

It is the strap from the DJI goggles version 1. It had 3 straps but I cut one off.
