I am always in awe the command Barbara Streisand has of an audience promoting different ways in which she shares how we all can bring about Peace and Love toward one another in this world, and as the cameras pan the crowd how it is filled with war mongers, murders, liars, thieves, who all have claimed the very same things she sings about, yet have profited big time from their crimes of profit and power. Maybe one day she will covey her messages loud enough, long enough, articulate plain enough where others will come to not only know the words but appreciate the message enough to lay down all weapons and choose to overcome differences for true peace and love. Through my 65 years of watching Barbara she has consistently spoken and sung about these things. When will people start listening to her message and choose to act upon it. Each one of us has to choose to point the finger at ourselves and refuse to continue in a wayward walk away from peace and love and not uplifting up political leaders who stand for just the opposite.
Let us all unite in the words and the melody of these 2 songs. May music lift our heart and spirit up in order to overcome. "We shall overcome, one day" 🎼 🥁🎷🎺🎸🎻.
Apparently you haven't heard some of her more recent Live performances (the Back to Brooklyn tour notwithstanding). She actually sounds very good here.

@ Thornycroft1937 ... Somewhere between her 2000 shows and 2006 Barbra's voice began to fail her and there were some performances since then that were downright cringe worthy (Planet Hollywood). Being the fan you are, I am really surprised that you can't see the improvement from then and now. I have a hunch you're like me and have always been partial to the "belting" Barbra. I agree those days are gone, but thankfully, the softer "ballad Barbra" is still amazingly in tact.
