LGBTQ is legal according to Kenyan Supreme Court ruling, but it remains outlawed in Kenyan Schools and Society at large.Most High School Students struggle with this behaviour regarded by many Africans as a taboo and termed as a sin by most religious organisations in Kenya.
Oasis of Sorrow depicts a struggle of a girl, Maryline, who gets embroiled in the tightly guarded group of LGBTQs in school. The matter gets out of hand leading to her untimely death.
Based on a true story, this film created, scripted and directed by PRIME MEDIA's Ejay Washingtoné is not in anyway promoting the rights of LGBTQ but rather, highlights the going ons in some of our Kenyan Schools.
