I did this trek in jan 2018. I should not comment about others. But these guys literally are over prepared for this trek. Itna acha acha jacket pehena and none had trekking shoes. Neither we had proper jackets, cloths, bags for trekking and still we completed this trek easily in 3 days. One of my fried was just like the pink shirt guy. I asked him to buy rucksack, trekking shoe. He bought a sports shoe from khadims and road side cheapest rucksack possible. The rucksack gave up even before reaching sankri and i had to sew the torn part every day. It was our first trek. We made many mistakes. But enjoyed a lot. P.S - even during pangarchulla trek , we did not have jacket like these guys. I really envy you. ... just my thoughts. No comparison.
Having a good jacket or equipment is not over preparing. You are walking in mountainous terrain. Two things, weather can change drastically without warning. If you are stuck because of rain or if you get drenched because your cheap jacket leaked, the low temperatures could lead to hypothermia. This is serious and have led to fatalities. Secondly, the terrain is, well, mountainous. If you have bad footwear, you can sprain your ankle, develop blisters, have wet feet, etc. If your blisters or wet feet get infected, you are in serious trouble again. Many times help is far away. Yes, there is a fine balance between over packing and packing enough of the right stuff. Indians are fueled on hype and Insta reels. Don't take mountains lightly.
Informative video but we went to kedarkantha and finished the summit in single day and next day we were in sankri ! No crampons,no expensive jackets or shoes just pure adventure ! Jai bhole
@@atulshishodia7438 You can but it always adviced to take a guide and yes permissions are also required. And i am too going for trek on 27th December from dehradun to dehradun. You can join in if you wish.
@@atulshishodia7438 you'll see alot of rush on 27th, so the trial won't be empty as alot of people will be there on trial so I feel there is no need for the guide .... It's a easy trek if you have some trekking experience you won't have any problem in completing the trek.

He told me that he can't pay me back but instead will show me a place no one has ever seen he just asked to never tell anyone of its access route and it was really palace never ever seen. Now I can't climb such heights but still want to go to that place once more. It's a cave with a small opening then a pound of warm water and sunlight shining from top of small opening enlighting the whole pond as if it's an aquarium.

Kyon ki India mein jyada tar logo ko har cheeze mauj masti hi lagti hai. Kuch seriousness nahi hota. He is doing the right thing by bringing the seriousness of the trek. You can enjoy, but there should be no compromise on safety and discipline (both of which we lack in general).
