A fun reference, but I respectfully disagree. I think the charm of this channel is toeing a very careful balance of over-the-topness with subtlety, and it is a beautiful thing to behold. The juxtaposition is an important part of the humor too.

Okay but out of all the game genre attempts the Simpsons games tried, from side scrolling beat em up, wrestling, Crazy Taxi, GTA clone, friggin skateboarding. Hell even a sole game based on doing multiple types of games like a Guitar Hero battle against God himself! We have YET to see a Simpsons JRPG. It just had to be Earthbound and the rest writes itself. Honest to god the YT algorithm is just too damn accurate to be showing me this masterpiece as the top first suggestion when I open the app.

If anyone’s wondering, to get the Spoon you have to go to the pub in Australia and win the Knifey-Spoony minigame 200 times. Not worth it if you’re speedrunning, obviously, but for a low-level run it’s essential.

The only exception I've found is the GBA port but that is because I found it takes like three years for kain to jump in that version.
