American of Mexican descent here, every time I see a Haka and especially the ones honoring the elderly or mentors, I get so emotional. I love seeing this tradition passed down to the next generations, just as I love to see Mexican traditions passed down to ours. In this world, we (people) are more the same than we are different! I feel that if I came to this party I would be welcomed like family, just as you would be welcomed in ours! Much love and respect to you all!
I watched this and was in tears proud as I watched the gentlemen that walked in hold back the tears in watching the dance performed by his family. Simply Beautiful. Thank you for sharing with the world.
First off, my brother, what are you doing to keep yourself looking so damned YOUNG?! 70 years old? Seriously Sir, you look barely a day over 50. Congratulations to him for having such a large, loving family. He looked truly touched.
I'm really starting to like the Maori culture, might have been the episode of deadliest Warrior or the love for history but it's really cool, the tattoos and the Haka, the Haka is pretty cool
I'm sorry ladonna ,African americans didn't lose their culture during slavery, their culture was violently and horribly ripped away after being kidnapped and stolen from their homes and families.
First I thought, wow that man don't look 70... is he tearing up? Then at the end , I thought is he bored? haha.. (kidding) *BEANNACHTAI UILIG* (Blessings)
If he`s dead they would have done another haka. Just like when he was born they did a haka. And when he did this or that or this happened or that happened they also did hakas. The maoris are doing hakas all the time. On average there is a haka performed every 37 seconds in New Zealand. A haka used to be something special but nowdays the maoris find any old reason to do one. The whole thing has just become a attention-grabbing stunt. Cuzzy Steven has arrived at the airport....let´s do a haka. They opened up a new library at school.....let´s do a haka. Auntie Moana just made her best banana cake ever.....let´s do a haka.
What a lucky man, the respect and love from his family are something no amount of money could ever buy and what a proud and beautiful culture.
He looks good for 70 too!
Facts
The grandchildren! I can’t stop crying! How proud he must be!
Cool. I'm glad I wasn't the only one

Aloha! Never lose your beautiful traditions❤❤❤✊🏾✊🏾. African Americans lost ours’ during slavery. ✊🏾
Not js that we were taught to see our culture as demonic..... and only most of us accept our african roots.
