I enjoyed this video, thank you for posting! Saipan has seen better days, and I can only hope to live to see them better days come back in the near future
The pizza at the Godfather is really the best. In fact, all of the food was great. I have not been there for several years, but I used to fly into there 3-4 times a month from 2014-2016. I sure miss those beautiful sunsets and beers at the beach by the Fiesta Hotel. Thanks for bringing me down memory lane.

the typhoons soudelor and then yutu and THEN austerity and THEN COVID really messed up garapan and the rest of the island. one of the sad parts of having a tourism based economy.
Yes Host I love that place even i have not been there. I have some friends living in that Island and my daughter works there before telling me a lots of stories and her funny moment enjoying that Place. Nice vlog and keep on enjoying brother. God bless you...
Siapan may be a Good idea. I work my butt off, always show up and do Good work. Seems like me and my Bulldog pup Hans could make a living. My Dad fought there in WW2, He would have been 97 this year. Thanks Man. Can You grow Your own Herb? In Virginia we do. Thanks ❤
I lived there from 1998-2000. I was in HS and it wad definitely a culture shock. Big problem they had back then was the Tommy Hilfiger sweatshop drama.
I just left Saipan and I am now on an oil tanker working in Valdez, Alaska. I should return to Saipan Novemberish. I got really busy on Saipan this time repairing machinery and other stuff at our carwash
Would you recommend people moving there? Seems like it's on a death spiral based on how you are describing it. I've been looking at the local news there and looks like corruption charges is hitting the governor too.
I love it here. I'm looking at a few opportunities I'm sure will do good. It is now very expensive here, the mark up is insane and online stores will not ship many items here. Political corruption seems to run deep here.
It has already started. The Chinese have bought up most of the buildings and ran costs too high to afford. There are no civil protections that renters can be safe from landlords. My friend was evicted overnight from his apartment with no explanation and now the entire building is strictly for Chinese. I would suggest that people do not get too bleeding heart over the Chinese. They are a cartel and have a lot of money and are ruthless.
I was in Saipan at the time of this video...ate at Godfather's too. Yes, it is very good pizza, and a cool staff! Such a shame what the pandemic did to this wonderful place!
Yes, I know. Sadly, the local Democrats depend on Chinese immigrants to keep them in power by allowing them to do business tax free. If the Chinese started voting Republican, watch how fast those Democrats turn ugly.

It looks so empty and dead compared to when I was living there from 2016-2019. Idk why, but this breaks my heart 😔🙁
I know, it's such a waste.

I love it here.
I haven't been home in 2 years and it's pretty sad seeing shops and restaurants I've once always visited closed..
My favorite was the La Fiesta mall. Now run down and trashed. So sad.
What about the miha housing in garapan, lower miha housing mostly are chinese renting ..
The Chinese have pretty much taken over Saipan. Rents are are unaffordable now.
if you ever see any sailboats for sale, I would be super interested

How much USD to rent a house or condo there
My old apartment was $400 a month now $1,000 USD
So maybe thats why people are not moving there as that is kind of high compared to Thailand and surrounding places@@insaneseafarer

The failed casino will eventually become the pretentious palace for the Chinese takeover when the imperial forces lose their grip over the Marianas.
