  • Updated 22 Jun 2017: Codebender has been acquired by Codeanywhere. To make Codebender more sustainable, users are being asked to pay $10 a month (after a free 30-day trial).
This is a tutorial about how to get started programming ATtiny85's with Codebender and a Chromebook.

By the way, an Attiny85 is a microcontroller; I mistakenly used the term microprocessor at one point in this video. Whoops.

Fantastic! Great instruction. I wish more were like this. Clear and concise.

The Tiny AVR programmer may be used for Attiny45's as well as Attiny85's. Regrettably, Codebender is no longer allowing people to sign up for new accounts. Arduino Cloud may work as a reasonable substitute, but this isn't currently an option for those who may be Chromebook users. You can also use an Arduino Uno to program the chips, if you don't have access to the Tiny AVR programmer.

Aman, I'm not sure, because I haven't tried it myself; but, it's worth a try. I'm sharing a link to a video I made that shows how to program an Attiny85 with an Arduino Uno. While Codebender may no longer be an option, you could still use the Uno as an ISP using the Arduino IDE or Arduino Cloud. You'll want to fast forward through the first two minutes or so of this video. Good luck. th-cam.com/video/z0p2AFyRa_I/w-d-xo.html
