I rented DVC points and stayed at AKL last fall in a studio that overlooked the pool and it was excellent! I think that AKL is WAY better than Wilderness Lodge. The Grand Californian out at DCA is also the same building design but in a Craftsman style decor with art glass and floral accents.
hey! thank you so much! The weather in July is going to HOT! I went early-mid July last year and you will most likely be looking at temps in the mid to upper 90s every day with lows in the mid to upper 70s...it can get quite humid too and there is frequently a quick pop up shower somewhere between 230-530pm every day that last about 30minutes - 1hr! My recommendation is if you are going to the parks, get there at open, stay until lunch, then head back to the resort for a few hours and then go back out in the evening... if you stay at the parks all day, get there at open, and have lunch around 12-1pm and then do a lot of shows or long indoor rides for the next 3hrs (at Magic Kingdom we will do Carousel of Progress, People Mover, Philharmagic, Hall of Presidents, The Tiki Room, and Its A Small World all in a row in mid day..between waiting times and show times that will be about 3 hrs or so and none of those usually have long lines!...this will let your food digest (because being full in the 98 degree heat while walking around is miserable LOL) and it will get you out of the worst part of the heat of the day! hope that helps! enjoy your trip!! PS take a look at my video on ways to "Beat the Heat" at Disney World lol it might help!

I love this resort! So many good places to eat!!
We stayed there in 2019 & would definitely stay there again sometime. It's a gorgeous resort & the rooms are so nice & spacious.
I love it... the food options, the scenery, the spacious rooms like you mentioned, it really is a "must stay" for anyone who hasnt been there!
Man, a chocolate old fashioned, it’s almost like they made that just for you!

I feel like I will like AKL more than Wilderness - I have been to wilderness but never stayed there...looking forward to comparing them!
Hey Chase, love all your informative videos. I’ll be staying at the Kidani village this July 2024. How’s the weather like? I’m from California
