- Plácido Domingo and Deborah Polaski sing the Act 2 from Parsifal in Bayreuth. I was dazzled with Polaski's performance, aand I can say that Kundry is the best role I heard her.

22-08-03 Ed.: _Ok, I've listened to this a few more times and each time I found myself increasingly impressed with both artists. Meier is still my preferred Kundry but Polaski edges out Urmana handily. Domingo as Parsifal is a revelation. Once he decided to conquer the Wagner repertoire, he did not hold back and I am grateful he did not. Bravi a tutti. I'm sure I'm not alone in wishing that the rest of this performance would be uploaded._
Orig comment: I've figured out that I like Wagner sung, not acted. Maestro Domingo does what he can but there ain't much to do for any of them. Thank you for sharing this with us. And thank you and the others who know how to title a post so it can be easily found and it has the answers to the questions I always have: who, what, where, when. Mil gracias!
As a purely vocal performance, this is the best thing I've ever heard Polaski do
Peter Callahan maybe that’s because, although being a great dramatic soprano, she has an inherently rich mezzo quality to here voice. It’s very rare to find a Kundry with both
i attended this performance. at the end the audience filed out of the hall in stunned silence.
