And this is from the words of the Leader Leeteuk on why he chose to call us ELF: “Because when we’re just debuted, in a concert with all other groups, we saw, there were some sapphire blue colors, between all other colors of all other fandoms.. Day by day.. Those sapphire blue colors are getting big and so many.. Because we realized that those sapphire blue colors are the source of our spirit our happiness, and our strange.. As we know from the legend, ELF is a beautiful creature like a fairy. They are beautiful, and always give happiness, like they spell it.. Because i realized those creature that we see now, that always make a sapphire blue oceans that is the most beautiful thing, are like ELF on the legend.. They’re also beautiful, always give happiness to us, always protect us.. So i named them, ELF.. You are so ON POINT with those adlibs. I think the strength of SJ is the number of members and the fact that all of them can sing (thanks to the gruelling training they had as trainees) so they are confident in getting every member to sing even up till now when they are short of members at some point.
My original group. :) Kyuhyun, the main vocal maknae, is my bias wrecker and my favorite voice in kpop. I'd recognize his voice anywhere, and he was the one who hit that high note. I hope you can react to some of his solo performances on Immortal Songs and King of Masked Singer (he has solo songs but I know you don't like ballads very very much and he's a balladeer up to his heart haha). Heechul is my ultimate of the ultimate favorite person in kpop. I think the reason why all my main groups are SM groups is because their ballads and harmonies are amazing. I can appreciate loud music, but it just doesn't make me emotional in the way that these songs do.
