Love the confidence ! However please be cautious. I’m a hotshot owner operator for 1 year now and I don’t recommend jumping into this business solely relying on load boards or a Amazon load boards(which is what this is ). The insurance is super high. North of 1-2k per month if your younger than 25 even 30 at times. Not to mention subscriptions to other load boards because trust me, sometimes one of them is very very slow. Those are about 50-100 an month. Also some of the Amazon loads require pallet jacks and special equipments. And box trucks alone are very costly to buy or to rent. I’d really go into this business if you’ve got money to burn the first couple of months because Amazon won’t accept new authorities. Even when you get accepted. You need a second job or something to keep you a float when times are slow (they are some months). I just finally got stable in this business and it took a good year of burning cash to see a profit. Thank goodness for my other business that helped. But if your up for this. Go for it! There’s money to be made at the end of the tunnel just don’t put your self in massive debt !

@@jordanthomas7322sorry for the late response ! Well for HS it’s about 15-25k for truck and 8-10k for trailer. Both used of course. MC number and DOT is 300$. Equipment is roughly 1k. And the load boards are 50 each and you’d get both so you can find the most loads so 100$ a month for DAT and Truckstop. Now isnrusnce is where is it depends on your age and driving record Mine is about $950 a month with 2 month down payment when I started. I’ve seen others get insurance for 800 all the way to 3k a month so it depends on your record. The expenses are the same for box truck however instead of a truck and trailer you just buy a 14-18k used box truck with lift gate. And then a pallet jack is about 300$ As for potential earnings. I avg roughly 5k a week gross wasting about 20% on fuel and am out 5 days a week and try to be home most weekends. My other drivers avg about the same but there out more then me because they live in very dry states. I have a box truck buddy that says he avgs 4k a week with box truck. I believe he pulls atleast 2k a week pure profit. I would say to have atleast 30k to start off and a second job the first 3 months while you mc ages because its nearly impossible to get loads before that. Overall tho this business is on the decline. Its still profitable but you need be careful and do way more research then you think you need to. I jumped in 2 years just because of youtube hs doing it. Quickly learned theres way more to the business and stress and mishaps then what they showed so be careful! Good luck!

Amazing has a rating scale for drivers things like coming to pick up on time and etc. , when it is your first time coming to do a pickup for Amazon come 2 hours early to get signed in and all that process bc if you’re late for your first pick up it’ll make you late for every one after that bc your timing gets off and it’ll make you fall below a certain score and Amazon suspends your service for 6 weeks to reset your score/rating so if Amazon is the only job you got getting suspended for 6 weeks over being late is something to keep in mind.
Unless you have an emergency nest egg please don't mess with Amazon relay. They will jam your business up and you won't expect it. I tried changing my banking info after starting with them 3 months ago and it's still not updated and they owe me almost $4000. Thank God I was able to keep moving. It has not been easy but we are prospering with our new authority without fooling with those Shysters... please do your research there's a better way. If you've been in the business and already profitable you can afford to play their game. They cheat drivers out of money and I've read on other TH-cam channels that there are others trying to get their money from Amazon either for routes unpaid or they won't change their banking info and their money is just sitting on their account. There is no way to reach them by phone and they play games when you email them. Different people will respond with either the same repetitive message or something that doesn't even make sense. Who wants to trust their business to people that won't even talk to you on the phone and ignore your emails? I learned the hard way listening to the hype. I'm giving the real yeah they have the routes but you are running a risk starting with them until you get some age on your authority. I am making more money for the same miles that we were running for Amazon and again we are just hitting our 90 days. The only good thing with them is they do have routes SOME of the time that can get you back home without deadheading. People are not being COMPLETELY honest on these videos.
I heard this one guy say he started off with 4 big rig trucks and ended up losing $250,000. I said man you scaled up too fast. You have to start up with 1 truck and build up slowly.

I know because I dealt with this business before, it's not really worth it now, what's worth it is the otr business either box truck or hot shot delivery Driver business in my opinion not Amazon.

I’m a small fleet owner and trust me it cost more than 4700 to start a trucking company insurance alone cost 5-7k to start plus it costs about 1k to get your llc or corporation started alone then you have to pay for IFTA then UCR registration plus truck Registration is 1500-3200 depending on how many states you plan on traveling too so cost is way more than 4700 oh I forgot to mention 250 for 2290

90 to 95 percent of small trucking companies fail within few years.... keep this in mind tho... I know of tons of guys who had truck issues costs that took em under. That was an issues. I think it can work if God is blessing you along with you doing your part.

Sounds good but 4700 is not gonna get you in, the average cost for a 16ft truck is 5000-up the next highest thing is insurance which 4700 might cover that cost if you have a truck already
How bad are Diesel costs and freight pay? For a long time Diesel was too high and freight rates too low to justify the business and a LOT of big rig drivers quit or big rig companies went bankrupt. Have freight rates gone up enough to make the investment worthwhile? Can't stand ripoffs.
Do you know how much your insurance is going to be to activate the authority? Probably in the neighborhood of 25,000 per year. We haven't bought the truck yet we haven't registered the truck yet we haven't filed the appropriate paperwork yet for your boc-3 along with your ifta and SSR the list goes on.
Yall have to also understand, everyone isn’t made to be a business owner. If we all have, and run businesses, then who in the world’s going to be the employees? I don't believe non of this. I've run a transportation business for 13 years now you know how hard it is to make money doing this don't fall for all the hype. Immigrants can do what you do for a quarter of the price. So tell how can you operate? I run a Moving company now and have killed it. Most I made in 4days was $50k after expenses $40k Net. The reason for this is customer services and doing Quality over Quantity. Follow the real not the fake. The dream can be real. Perfect Timing Moving is the name. Cheers yall😊

Sounds good but 4700 is not gonna get you in, the average cost for a 16ft truck is 5000-up the next highest thing is insurance which 4700 might cover that cost if you have a truck already

For a long time Diesel was too high and freight rates too low to justify the business and a LOT of big rig drivers quit or big rig companies went bankrupt.
Have freight rates gone up enough to make the investment worthwhile?

Do you know how much your insurance is going to be to activate the authority? Probably in the neighborhood of 25,000 per year. We haven't bought the truck yet we haven't registered the truck yet we haven't filed the appropriate paperwork yet for your boc-3 along with your ifta and SSR the list goes on.
Yall have to also understand, everyone isn’t made to be a business owner. If we all have, and run businesses, then who in the world’s going to be the employees?
