A quick observation on 20:44 - it would benefit you to buy from the bigger hardware store where you have larger stuff available. It is less physical items you are buying individually that have double the quantity of stuff so they last longer.. I'm interested to collab and show you a few things

I was having a lot of fun with this game until I was designing a multi story house and my upper floors kept getting deleted every time I modified the ground floor. I ended up with a very boring square house. Only to realize I forgot to RE-ADD my interior doors after the umpteenth time of having to redo the upper floors. So I couldn't complete building the house without completely scrapping everything I had already built. So frustrating. Good news is: this game is in early access and I have hope that they will make improvements to all the frustrations players have encountered.
Main observations;
1, throw the boxes closer/inside/on top of the house.
2. Buy bigger boxes
3. Work smarter not harder.
4. Load the truck with the boxes and drive closer.
💪👍😘 all this and you would’ve probably saved AT LEAST half the time lol
Get some friends and furnish it off camera with 5 star furniture when possible. Tell them to try to get all the design points for each room but other than that have them furnish how they want. Video a house tour. You'll make a ton more money and be able to get the city lot.
I agree that they should add an edit tool to the planner. The same thing happened to me when I accidentally blocked off the stairs in a house I built. I did start over. And it sucked. Lol. Great videos!
One trick I use is with the tall windows is I just toss all of the insulation, drywall, etc through those upstairs windows and save a tonne of walking
I do believe your generator is in your other vehicle
The running back and forth is annoying. Just implementing something like a hand truck would be a huge improvement. I will say, I've played this multi-player with a friend and it does make things better. We had a system going where one of us would throw boxes towards the house and the other would organize and stack the boxes.
Rant! Rant! Rant! 😂😂😂 In fairness a lot of games probably fall short compared to your professional software. As always, love watching 😊
Could you maybe load the product from the delivery zone into the van and then park infront of the door to the house? Love the vids man
I think when you're working on the house plans that any time you erase/change the outer walls on the ground floor, the other floors get "erased". I enjoyed your rant. I did a 3 story castle-like house and 3 of the 46 windows could only be put on "inside out". I had shutters on the INSIDE of my kitchen. UGH.
Can you tell me how to do the 3-story house? I'm having hell putting in the stairs to the top floor. Spent 3 hours messing with it and then the game crashed.
i normally put everything i need for the inside, insulation, paint, frames etc... in the van, and than just put the van right at the door of the place.
also back door is never a bad idea, also save on time.
last option is to just throw everything from the pad, into the house, even after you made the bricks, you can still do it over the brick walls.
all that being said, I kind of quit that game, too many issues with doing the layouts, it's just not worth it for me.
If you order the building materials from the hardware store downtown you can buy bigger boxes. Making so you don’t have to run so much. They’re double the size. So instead of 100 per box it’s 200 and you will only have to run half the times.
If you really want to build beautiful houses, build in Sims 4. This game has a lot of work to get to that point.
This game is more about the building process. I think this game is working a lot on the existing kinks before adding more content. That's why it's still in early access. They seem to be doing a lot on trying to improve the kinks which is good. 😊 I would love for them to add balconies and outside features like they have in their clients' houses but I understand there is probably a lot of behind the scene work to ensure the game works properly.
Sim 4 sucks
I LOATHE the building on this game. It took me 3 tries to build the 2 story house. 1st time I forgot to add doors to the rooms. the 2nd time I forgot to add a front door to get into the house. By the time I got to the 3rd try, I ran out of money to build so I had to do contracts. Don't do the "My house needs renovations" because some of the furniture that needs extracting doesn't ding so you don't get all of the reward money because your stuck at 97%! I'm putting this game away for a little while because it's causing a massive headache.
There is an option to give feedback directly from the game as well if you ever feel like doing so. I agree they need more context to there error messages.
I would love to see you complete it, but wouldn’t worry about furnishing it, just paint the walls, put flooring in and maybe light fixtures. I totally get the frustration, games should be fun to play, not leaving you wanting to throw the computer out the window 😂

I knew I recognized the house. Lol that's the one that broke my game. But if I could have this game. Gladly would hand you the materials and then I'll decorate. Would be so cool if each on can call dips on a room and decorate it.
Also you could’ve throw the boxes with building materials through the window or on to the ceiling on the second floor and not run back and forth that much.
And 1m Sq. Is 10.8 Sq feet
I would of done the interior wall framing first before the celing part. All that concrete just hanging there with no support would realistically cave and and collapse. Also, why is concrete being used and not wood for floors? It just seems a bit of an overkill and heavy for a roof for a domestic home.

On the online shop if you go into the other hardware store you can order large packs of everything instead or small ❤❤❤❤
When doing the furnitures, you put the boxes in the car and drive the car to the front door.
Changing the exterior wall (on the ground floor) deletes everything on the floor above.
The mechanics suck, with no walls shorter than 2m, but do a search for 'house floor plans, and look at different designers, sans a decent roof and the wall issues whe. You want to do pretty stuff. You can search for sizes, garage or no garage, etc. We can't make porches, but having a plan helps. Just don't make doors on the same corner. It will allow it, but when. You build it, you won't be able to place the interior doors at that point. So, space your doors out.
Throw the packs over closer to the build... You can actually launch a pack pretty far on here lol
@renovategamer When you decide to put furniture in this house, don,t buy the furniture! Do a " my house needs renovations" mission, you will have to extract lots of broken furniture from the "rich" clients which you than can stick in your house rather than bringing it and selling it for less money at the pawnshop. The game does not register that the furniture is broken when placing it in your new house😂and it will bank you a ton of money ( the actual value of the furniture ) when selling on the auction. Few of those missions will fill the house and you don,t need to finish the missions neither 😂if you don,t want , just cancel / abort mission and take of with the furniture 😂, same with demolition missions , just grab the trash/ furniture , abort missions or do 50% . Easy money! 🤣plus it gives a break doing something else rather than getting burned out building one big house alone in one sitting as i know all to well how frustrating this game can be sometimes 😡. hope this might help bringing some joy back playing , just cheese the game sometimes 😂. love the vids 👍
IMO, scrap it. Won't be able to place the window in the room with no door. Won't be able to move on...
As an architect for a living it’s not strange for me that changing the ground floor structure will remove the second floor floor plan. It’s pretty obvious for me 🫣 but I can feel you as a gamer not appreciate it.
Of course your plan for the second floor will disappear when you change everything holding it up, it doesn’t “work” anymore 😅🤷♂️
You should do the first floor 100% complete and use their “check”-toll until it says it’s done. THEN you can move on to the second floor.
Sad seeing you lose your patience. It could’ve been a really nice house! I like the planing but I hate the hallways lol..
