What I like about this era of late 90s / early 00s cartoons Is that The Color Contrast was perfect .... Teen Titans Go today is way to colorful and bright ... It almost hurts the eyes !
Man, they don't make kid shows like this anymore... Cartoons like Ahh! Real Monster, Beetlejuice, Billy & Mandy, etc. were definitely made by people who grew up with '70s/'80s horror.
Fun fact, both Grim Adventures and KND were the winners of a special event called the Big Pick, in which they showed pilots for potential series, and viewers could vote online for which one to become a full series the following year. Grim Adventures won in 2000, and KND won in 2001. Personally, I think that's one of the big reasons why the two shows crossed over.

Between this and that other show Evil Con Carne, this is one is WAY better and I'm glad they chose this one instead to continue on. The latter gave me nightmares because of season 1 and had Season 2 been like the first, I'd probably would have liked ECC over Billy and Mandy, but I didn't. Both were weird shows by Maxwell Atoms, but Billy and Mandy was more tolerable to me.
