Once Sun found out Jin mom was alive and was a prostitute, she should have told Jin his mom was blackmailing Sun to stay quiet. Since Jin father told Sun to never let Jin know she saw him and his mother was alive led to Sun taking the money from her father to payoff Jin’s mom. That debt caused Jin to work directly for Sun’s father. Sun’s father never should have done that to Jin because being an enforcer was killing him inside and caused his marriage to fall apart and Sun having an affair.
Still I really don't think Bernard is in the "loop" or in the "inner circle" with Jack, Sawyer, Sayid, Kate, Hurley, Locke, Ben, Juliet, Sun, and Jin. So he probably just assumed Locke just wanted to kill Naomi.
@@doct0rnic I agree. Jin may not have understood all words but he understood the gist of it - as like you said, every 3rd or 5th word, like: married, Rose, cancer, sick, karma, good/ bad things. When learning a new language (esp as an adult), you learn the context of the whole sentence, not necessarily individual words. (English is my 2nd language & am learning a 3rd.)
I think the karma thing made Jin think of the man he used to be and what he did. He's still one of my favorite characters, though.

He probably heard every third word, even every fifth word he could understand somewhat of what he's saying, not to mention Sun has been teaching him

well locke just killed Naomi in cold blood. Bernard was just doing his job against the Others had to kill them in order to protect the camp.
Naomi was bad. So i don't care about, if John killed her in cold blood.
It was not in cold blood. He literally prevented her from making a call. Did not have time for other actions.
Other's were just gonna take the woman doesn't mean they deserved to die.
