My 155-80 doesn't have rear lincage or airbrakes being mod spec, will deffo need airbreaks fitted weird starting thing with me is the foot throttle will push the hand throttle up, and it won't start with throttle slightly up. I discovered this at a busy intersection in the city. 🤣 Police directing traffic around me and only figured it out after getting a mate, in his tractor to tow me out the way.
Loving the fastrac content, we have one and they’re worth their weight in gold. We’re having trouble starting ours, think it’s fuel related any ideas on what’s wrong with it, had the conversation with a mate who reckoned that the fuel was flowing back into the tank. Amy ideas would be helpful
Yes I had a similar problem last year and I’m sure I put a small vid up about the fuel tank a few years back, anyway the pipes that go into the top of the tank can get creaced and suck the sides in stopping the flow of derv. Under the gear-lever side of cab floor mat there is a small hatch where you can get at them, take the whole sender unit out and clean it to make sure it’s not blocked at the bottom in the tank then assemble with new shirt pipes at the top. The next thing to alter before the lift pump is the water catcher below the tank, I removed that altogether and then it’s easier to bleed the derv. Mine was starving of fuel under full power, sucking the pipe sides in then stalling, bleeding is almost impossible with the water separator on so you have to use a massive syringe to push the derv through to the filters so I removed the whole separation unit instead. Crack a few injectors off so it turns over easy and and fast at full throttle it will fire then bleed properly.
I chucked a new starter on mine which sorted everything. Only thing it does now very rarely is it will turn over fine but not fire. Put the ignition on and off and it fires first crank. Fuel solenoid is working fine too. Arms on mine drop dead quick though as standard

Absoulutely hate my fastrac, gutless, unreliable big lump, my John Deeres and internationals kick its ass all over the place on anything, I can’t even sell it as I will lose thousands on it and no one wants a broken one. Still got that 1255xl?
Yep still got the 1255xl she’s going great 👍 You either love fastracs or you don’t and I did have a moment myself when I was stuck with a derv problem with a low loader on the back on a hill 😂

Yep there are some small probs that are simple to fix due to bad earths mostly and gearbox ones that are a big job, cheers for commenting 👍
