I only just watched FLCL 3 days ago. The first episode, originally released in the year 2000 (it’s important to note), blew my mind! Everything about it screamed “original” “unexpected” “daring” and “WTH?” It was definitely an Anime series ahead of its time. Oh and the music was fantastic!! As for the 2018 (yes 18 years later) series well, I’ll pass. 😅 Thank you this great AMV!! 👍❤️

It was insanely good show at the time and I consider it a underrated show. It's sad that the sequels couldn't stand up to it's amazement of it's first season.
Man this really helped me contemplate my own perspective and be thankful of the people who shared some moments of adolescence and growing up with me. I might never meet any of them again, but I fondly look back at the memories that made that stage of my life so vibrant to experience. How much does a person have to experience before they become a stranger to our memories? What conclusions do they come to and what actions have to manifest for them to be "different"? Really fascinating.

A series like this is one of a kind. I watched it a few months ago and I loved it! It's hard to describe. It makes you feel a variety of emotions. You feel sad, happy, confused, and hopeful. It seems simple yet complicated.
Finished FLCL for the first time a week ago. Goddamn, what a show. I don’t usually go for anime, but I can say hands down that this series might’ve changed that. It invokes (at least for me) a certain nostalgia even on initial viewing. I can remember being a bored twelve-year-old without a strong role model to follow. I can remember finally getting to high school and just wishing the entire world would burn along with me in it. I can remember being spiteful and petty with no regard for anybody’s quality of life but my own. I remember that, and I don’t think any other piece of media that I’ve consumed has replicated how that experience feels so flawlessly. As many others have also been saying, I already do feel nostalgia for FLCL even though I just finished it, and just like my own preexisting nostalgia, there’s a certain bittersweetness in knowing it’ll never be your first time again. So, TL;DR, if you haven’t already watched Fooly Cooly, stop reading and do it. It’s on TH-cam in its entirety, it’s only 6 episodes long, and you have no excuse not to.
Imagine the nostalgia I feel, I watched it the first time at 6 years old because my father bought it in a DVD. Of course I watched several times after that, some years later. I still have the original DVD. It's awesome. 13 years later and many animes watched, this one is still top 3 for me and still my favourite.

But having now watched with a open mind and understanding I could fully understand the complexity and meaning to this great 2000s anime still love this style it’s in a way nostalgic since it’s what I saw and watched even if it wasn’t what i was wanting to watch as a kid haha
