The last match was impressive... Holding on, barely slipping, but still pinning. And for all the haters: Michael Todd and Devon Larratt (and others) would pin 99,99% of us with ease with or without using the king's move... So I don't think of us as qualified for criticizing.
I don't hate Michael Todd. He seems like a good guy and he definitely loves AW. But I DO hate the king's move. And I (respectfully) disagree with everyone who agrues in favor to this technique in a respectful manner (for those who are disrespectful I have no respect). The move looks ugly, is very dangerous to the puller and is also unfair to the opponent since it uses, in addition to muscles and tendons' strength a bone-lock. And you saying that MMT and Devon would win against all none puller (I guess that is what you meant with "us"?) adds nothing to the discussion. People are not saying they are weak compared to non pullers, but compared to the other pullers they are ranked with)
it definitely makes it interesting. I love watching mmt matches. however I never really think of him as the actual winner when he goes to such extreme lengths. basically you can lose to michael and GAIN rating depending on how well you did, even if his ranking is below you. I still love seeing how people deal with him though. Very entertaining to me and because I'm not a professional arm wrestler, entertainment is all that matters to me. Hope he can continue pulling for a long time

i believe it isnt the straight arm position that is disallowed. in some forms of competition it is but usually the guidelines go by the competitors shoulders. as long as 1 of their shoulders is above the table it is still competition legal in this formatting i guess. Yes i believe the position is a little too advantageous but it still isnt easy under any regard to hold men trubins or aslonovs size with a bent arm let alone straightened.
Because he momentarily takes his shoulder below the table and moves into an advantageous close arm push position instantly, and mainly because no one has broken it yet.

The rules don't say anything about it being not allowed - i.e. it's a loophole. Those are two very different things. So the moment such a rule is incl. MMT's career would end. That's why MMT ended up 6-0 with Larratt in Dubai. Wherever the king's move gets banned or even regulated (may XX secs below the table or shoulder above table etc) - guys like schoolboy and Kydyrgali will pin him. 80% of MMTs wins have been by using this loophole.

When this rule will even be regulated, MMT will not be even in the top-10 in North America, let alone be banned. More than 80% of his victories have been from king's move and opponents elbow foul.

The way I feel about the kings, from experience, it really doesn't cheat anybody. It allows you to put the opponents side pressure mostly into your bicep shoulder and pronator instead of your trap, wrist, elbow. Unless your Dave Chaffee or Pushkar (rest in peace) or somebody with ridiculously strong side pressure and a steel elbow, believe me, a strong hitting side lane opponent HURTS on your elbow and if you supinate to compensate it puts so much stress on the inside side of your wrist. Nearly tore my wrist from trying to go into supinated hooks for a long long time before I finally started just using my toproll and bicep shoulder ect to take people's vicious side pressure hits. I couldn't finger walk enough to ever make the kings win for me but if it wasn't for watching MMT my elbow and wrist would be nothing but scar tissue by now lol. Great great times. It's not the kings move thats bullshit...its when he slides his elbow off the side of the pad to pad block his opponent. When you put your elbow on the side of the pad it takes the pressure off your arm and the opponent is fighting the pad at that point. That's the cheat and he gets away with it more often than not. His arm is so big when he strightens it out its hard to judge where the elbow is. If you watch any video of michael todd, when he gets in trouble he will always slide his elbow slightly off the side of the pad to execute the pad block.
Funniest comment I ever saw was someone talking about Michael Todd's under the table "technique".... Like going under the table is a technique.... I think he is strong but he needs to quit that "technique"

Yeah the Kongs move is hard to master. Most armwrestlers dont want to take time to try to learn it because it must take years.
The opponent should do the kingsmove. That would be both hanging there for hours. That would be good for the sport...
