@@chocolateicecreamlove8823 also if you have read the lore diaries or stories wtv they call it, it has mentioned that all members except yeosang were able to use the cromer to teleport and yeosang was caught by the mobile guardians (the bad guy who wears white in the end of answer)and that's why he's always in an enclosed area, in say my name, deja vu, turbulence, chained in halazia, he's still in their territory and that too trapped, also like if you see in the real mv, he was wearing white suit which clearly shows he's not yeosang but a mobile guardian who has changed himself to yeosang, it's such a fun song that nobody can notice that subtle hint they gave there, the guardians have penetrated into their own territory but now in bouncy we see that the white guy was killed by hongjoon's sniper bullet. I can't rly link all the timelines like which one is after which one but this is epic asf!!!!
To give you a short summary of ATEEZ' whole storyline (which we still know less than 50%, as captain Hongjoong said):
-There is dimension A, where ATEEZ are from and where they are "normal" guys fighting their everyday struggles but they are united for their love for music and dance.
-Then there's dimension Z, also referred as Strickland. In this dimension the government has deemed emotions as harmful for humans, so they have banned all arts including music & dance (as they have the power to evoke emotions) and the government is brainwashing people. But ATEEZ of this dimension, referred as HALATEEZ, wake up and start to fight back using music as their weapon against their totalitarian government. The resistance movement is also called Black Pirates. This is the world Guerrilla, Hala Hala and HALAZIA talk about.
-Long story short, the Black Pirates contact ATEEZ using an hourglass device (called the Cromer), which can be used to travel and send messages to different dimensions, you see it often in their MV's. The Black Pirates and ATEEZ join forces against the government.
HALAZIA is from album "Spin off: From the Witness" - perhaps the people at the end of the MV are said witnesses. Halazia is a breathtaking song! You should definitely listen to the whole previous album (Guerrilla its tittle track) World Movemenrt pt 1, because those songs and especially the lyrics explain so much of what's going on with the world of Halazia and Guerrilla!
I suggest checking out some of ATEEZ older music next such like their debut songs Pirate King & Treasure, Answer and Wave. They give you a whole new side of ATEEZ.

@@AngryKittenCrafts Yeah same, ATEEZ and their team really put everything into the story, and I'm so impressed that instead of being limited/restricted and weighted down by the lore, they use it so well and are able to tell so many meaningful & personal stories and be as diverse in their music as their are within the fictional storyline. It's so cool!

The word "Halazia" is some sort of progression of Halateez, their personas in the "Hala Hala" MV. Their prologue video did mention the rise of a "New Eight" so if I had to guess… that's what Halazia might be? Not sure 😭 there are also 8 bell chimes leading up to chorus too.. it’s just insane

@@Raedioactivity I think so too but now I'm asking if they're Halateez why are they burning the clothes we know them for? Who are the 4 people that were released? They have to be helpful to the fight because everyone put so much effort to free them. Also is this the same place the Guerilla MV was in or a different one because it wasn't looking like it was burning down before. Too many questions but I'm so excited to find out more. My ult group is BTS but Ateez is making me a bigger fan of theirs damn. They are in my opinion the most well rounded group and their storyline is the most amazing one I've seen. ❤️
Fever Diary Film shows Ateez, who all have different struggles in life (Yunho lost his brother, Jongho had a basketball career ahead until an injury, San’s family moves a lot, Wooyoung have stage fright, Yeosang have a strict and controlling father etc etc). They all become friends and meet in this abandoned warehouse where they find joy and freedom in their dancing and singing.
Then later on they have a fallout, Mingi and Jongho have a fight and San have to move again. It leaves Hongjoong alone in the warehouse when suddenly a figure dressed in all black shows up with a Cromer in his hand. It’s Hala Hala Hongjoong, from a different dimention.
Hongjoong wakes up, Hala HJ is gone, but the cromer is still there. Ateez gather again and they turn the cromer. Sand starts flowing upwards.
Again, this is where the Diary entries start. Ateez finds themselves in Hala Hala Ateez’s dimention, Strictland (which is the place for these 2 trailers). Human emotions are seen as a disease and all art, music, dancing etc have been forbidden.
Halateez rebelled against this by popping up here and there, dressing in black clothes and masks, to sing and dance, giving and showing emotion to the people. Some people break the trance and join Halateez, forming the Black Pirates.
Strictland also have giant android robots, dressed in all white with spiky masks. We see one at the end of Answer MV and they also show up in a Kingdom stage. They are also looking for the Cromers (there’s 2 and Halateez gave theirs to Hongjoong).
In Strictland Ateez meets and saves an eldery man they call ”Left Eye” and he’s the eldery man here. They also meet two siblings, the Grimes siblings, and helps the sister get back her voice that the government took in punishment.
There’s a lot of other stuff that happens too, but the important thing is that the giant robots catch Yeosang. The Android robots and Ateez does sort of a hostage exchange - Ateez’s Cromer for Yeosang.
Hongjoong throws the Cromer towards the robots but Yeosang snatches it, turns it (sending Ateez back to their dimension and the warehouse) and smashes it. This is what we see at the end of Deja Vu mv.
Yeosang is put in a glass cage.
Ateez back home is finds another Cromer in a Mayan exhibition, put on by a ”Henry Jo” who believes in the blend of science and magic. They manage to steal that Cromer.
Back in Strictland, Left Eye gets a morse code signal that says ”SAY MY NAME. ATEEZ.”
End of Fever Diary albums.
We know since before that the cronological order is Fever Series -> Treasure series -> The World series. And a lot of the music in Trailer 2 is from the end of Answer MV which closed out the Treasure series.
It was Yeosang playing the violin that put doubt in my mind. Because he have been shown in both Fever Diary Film and Inception MV playing the violin, and not liking it, feeling trapped. Likely it was a demand from his controlling father. Yeosang have also been linked with birds and bird cages, and in Turbulence MV he was once again in a classroom looking trapped and closed in. That’s why I believe he had the bread in The Real MV, another link between him and birds, and also the scene where he’s finally outside, spreading his arms wide with a wide shot and birds taking off and flying up to the sky.
We still have the movement diaries to go over and Hongjoong has stated that less than 50% of the lore has been revealed.

Oh they're super cinematic... they should just make a movie at this point! So the scarecrow was wearing the Halateez attire. Halateez are Ateez's darker alter egos from Hala Hala and I think Halazia is a place where people worshipped Halateez and counted on them to protect them but rn they are in distress and waiting for Halateez but they don't show up, instead Ateez show up and take their place. Also the playing around with the drop, Ateez do that alot! You never know what to expect!

I think San just took in the Dark Moon, famous in witchcraft and the old stories in pre-history for the end of life as we know it. Hope he's OK lol.
Ateez is definitely known for their cinematic and theatrical performances/videos. They also often have an unconventional song structure which gives them a unique sound. The guy singing with the very very deep voice is Yeo Sang. The rapper in the fuzzy hat is Hong Joong and the rapper with orange hair is Mingi. The high note vocal god is Jongho. The platinum blonde guy near the Halateez scarecrow is Seonghwa, Red haired guy is Wooyoung, the guy in the beige jacket levitating gem shards is Yunho, the guy with black hair in grey shirt on stairs is San.
The drum n bass at the end really threw me back to Pendulum days, moshing out in small clubs as they were up-and-coming in Perth. Oh, the nostalgia! Oh, the epic sounds of this track!!! Ateez are really making their musical mark on the world and I'm loving it.

I will try to give my best Ateez lore summary without getting too lengthy. This is all directly from their diary entries released with each FEVER album + The World Ep.1: Movement.
There is a dance group called the “Black Pirates” aka Halateez who exist in a parallel world (Strictland) run by an AI who determined that human emotion was the cause of all negative things in the world. Halateez are essentially the counterparts of Ateez, and they wear the black masks and fedoras that you saw in the HALA HALA video. The population who lives in the Strictland alternate universe are not allowed to feel emotions, create art, or be expressive in any way. They are controlled by the government officials and government androids who are always portrayed in white clothing.
Halateez has been using music to fight back against their government and they use a device called a “Cromer” to evade the androids who are always chasing them. The Cromer is an hourglass that, when turned, can transport you in space, time, and between dimensions. You’ll see the Cromer in several of their kingdom performances. When Halateez was eventually caught, Halateez Hongjoong travels to Ateez’s universe to give them the Cromer in hopes that they’d be able to save Strictland. There’s a whole backstory with Ateez motivations, side quests, and hijinks that you can read about in their diary entries which are posted online.
Ateez makes it to Strictland where they befriend some people and go to rescue one of their members who was separated and Halateez. Halateez and Ateez worked together to create a series of public disturbances in which people would essentially “wake up” from the nightmare they’re living in (Guerrilla).
This is only my speculation since I haven’t seen anything confirmed from Ateez themselves, but from what I can tell with this new MV, Ateez is now picking up where Halateez left off under the name “Halazia”. The people in white at the end is the government still hot on their trail.

One thing I really really LOVE about Ateez's songs is that most of the time they don't let you guess their next move. What I mean is, they build up up up up and when you think the drop is coming it.. doesn't! It's always kind of unexpected and keeps you on the edge and that's one of my favorite thing about their music ❤️

Out of all of the reactors that I watch, when it came to this song I was most excited to watch yours. This song was an absolute banger and I knew you'd love it.

Ateez are very diverse, they have all kind of music genres in their discography!

This song is super powerful-the arrangement, the vocals, the visuals.
I’m slightly confused regarding lore. I do know in the diaries Halateez and Yeosang were captured.
In another part of the story the 8 friends who were Ateez were split up.
The prologue says Halateez will never appear again but a new 8 appeared. I think the new 8 are Halazia.
But I could be 100% wrong.
Hala stands for hearts awakened, live alive. No word on if Zia means anything but in the lore Ateez are dimension A and Halateez are dimension Z so is may be related to that.

I think San in the end retrieved and set free the stolen voices, they were mentioned in Fever's Diary text as blue beads of energy IIRC, so many of them together would form a huge sphere.

And with Stray Kids being Atiny and Ateez being STAYs, any fans that do get upset should be ashamed of themselves. Teddy if you can pls buy a ticket for their European tour. I saw them in Ontario Canada just this month and im a little salty you guys will possibly get the new comeback on the track list 😅 but they’re performing level is top tier.

As for the story, they don't usually explain everything giving us space to make up theories, argue, just engage in different ways. For this album in particular, we know that it's an external POV (hence the "witness" from the album name) so I suspect we might be dealing with an unreliable narrator. Still, either way, it seems to be set on their story's timeline at the point where the original Halateez, the ones from Hala Hala, disappeared from their dystopian reality (we know they were imprisoned for an unspecified amount of time). People who were hoping for their help were in despair until "our" Ateez weren't brought to that reality to help. The effigy is almost like an altar or a memorial to Halateez - Ateez eventually take its/their place (but Yeosang, the one in chains, ends up captured and only gets rescued later).

Hello so here is my unsolicited theory:
Lyric "Be the Light Halazia"
The Prologue established that in this universe HALATEEZ left and people have been praying for them to return, while knowing that they never will. Hence the scarecrow, which is really a shrine to HALATEEZ. It reminds me of how in ancient worlds people would make shrines to their Gods for rain and/or a good harvest. There is something very religious about elements of this song/MV.
So why is the main lyric "Be the Light" because I think ATEEZ is encouraging these people to be their own light, their own hope, their own hero, their own God. Together they can change the world with multiple voices.
Lyric "A Small fantasy within me"
This is part of the first verse and I think its alluding to a glimmer of hope is a fantasy, the thought that HALAHALA would return is a fantasy (an illusion).
Lyric "The little blue bird that lost its voice, I can hear the whisper. The beginnings of a deep echo"
Many ATINY have been researching symbolism of a blue bird since this is the name of the outdo track on the Witness album and now a part of the HALAZIA song: "Some believe the bluebird is a symbol of joy and hope; others, that good news will be arriving soon. Others still think that bluebirds represent a connection between the living and those who have passed away." We're hearing the perspective from people who are not ATEEZ or HALATEEZ but citizens who have grown used to this government control and surpressing emotion. Yet faintly they hear the cry to rebel.
I almost feel like this is lyrically this sister song of Cyberpunk (this is a b-side from their album The World Ep.1), with most of the primary chorus lyrics. Also an ATINY pointed out the following:

I think this is done on purpose, as Cyberpunk is from ATEEZ's perspective and HALAZIA is from the perspective of Strickland (the name of the dystopian world in the story) citizens (the witnesses).
This brings me to my final point: The child from the prologue video and the children from the MV; I believe are all from Prestige academy (seen at the end of the Guerrilla video).
So my interpretation is that HALAZIA occurs during the same rebellion rise as Guerrilla, but is from the perspective of the students at Prestige academy.

Just love it, Ateez never dissapoint. On the new mini album Spin Off: From The Witness, 3 of the songs are remix versions of the originals, you should definitely check it out, especially the song I'm The One (Eden-ary Remix), the beats are off the charts, feel you would love it.
