@@andreimarincas2826 so you don't need to have greta position on the first shot. If you make one you have plenty of choice of balls to pot. Whilst on snooker you have to guarantee position on a color. Plus, in pool you always have to open the pack in order to pot all your balls. You just don't have the table size to open the pack, as well, as you can in snooker and your balls are mixed with the oponents. Basically, you want your game to be as spread as possible to increase the chance of a clear out. In snooker you want your game (in a early stage) as tight as possible to not fall to the other player.
@@SpazTheGamer Yeah not easy to turn pool into a commercial sport. Ultimate Pool did a lot of things right, from the commentators to the social media presence (short form and long form), getting the snooker players involved etc. It was always going to be a massive uphill battle in Australia. Not saying it's the main reason why they failed, but people always underestimate how important the commentators are. A single, very charismatic commentator can carry a broadcast. You really need professionals not just a couple of bogans X) Pockets Pro did do _a lot_ of stuff right too through, maybe they would have gotten there if they'd had a large enough influx of cash to survive long enough for momentum to build.
I was looking forward to watching this game. As soon as I clicked on it the comment.he won even though he tried to lose lol ruined it I saved myself 47 mins
Very entertaining match, thanks!
What a come back Tom nice😅
He can't even lose, when he's trying his hardest to throw 😂
Exactly, he totally has a psychological edge over his opponents
16:02 to hit the cushion so far from the pocket and still go in, that is ridiculous
Great fight
Love how you can see the result of the match from the top comment.
Why not play a defensive opening shot like in snooker?
because you can play any ball in the beginning
@@CruiserSnooker so?

all your skills can mean nothing off a break
I have not seen TopCat smiling 😮
Cousins definitely got lucky there. Didn't deserve the win with how he played most of that.
How did Gilbert lose that
Love how a snooker player can come into ultimate pool and come within a frame of beating the best pool player in the UK... lol
From a certain level everyone can beat everyone
TC didn't play anywhere near his best there
Thanks for giving me the result before I’ve watched it 👍🏻
I think first to 21 would be different
@@stucatfreeukcheck the game against selby. If it wasn’t for a deadly roll off selby would’ve won.
Topcat is silly, best on the planet surely?
Didn't play like it there, very fortunate
@@beadle111gaming and he still doesn't lose mate, its crazy.
Is there an Australian ultimate Pool League?
It was called the Pockets Pro Series but they ceased in 2023 because they were losing tons of money.
@@dhirajpallin2572 they ceased last year? wow
