Since his debut in Formula 1, Max has been making a big impression on track. Much has been said and written about his achievements, but there’s a lot less known about Max Off-Track.
Radio icon Edwin Evers went to Monaco to find out more about ‘the other Max’, in collaboration with G-Star RAW.

Funny to see another side of max!
As a German it is astonishing, how much of the Dutch I can understand.
Danish, and same thing
You might make some mistakes. There are many words that sound the same but mean something else. For example 'zee' is 'mehr' in german and 'meer' is 'see'. I'm not sure about Danish, since I dont speak that language. But I know, as a dutch, that I can understand some words of it. Aber Deutsch verstehe ich sehr gut.
Also, Max speaks German well and Nico Hulkenberg and Sebastian Vettel understand Dutch. That's why I think, the Hulk should be Max's teammate. The can get along very well.
As a Dutch guy it is unbelievable that i just understand a few german words but not that i would say that i can follow an dialogue

I liked the way Max tactfully evaded answering a number of questions - a bit like taking a different line on the track to pass another car.
Every sentence sounds like he's almost going to say something in english, but then it's just complete nonsens haha! Great with the subtitles 😂
