I miss Ty, he really did love Amy. He’s one of my favorite heartland characters.

I'm with you! A big let down for a story that lasted 13 seasons. The only way I would continue watching is if Amy were to keep things very casual going forward and be content with her family, horses and the warm memories of Ty. Other love interests, at this point in time, are no longer appropriate!
I quit watching at season 12. Graham Wardle’s Ty storyline was the only reason I watched.

As one young woman commented "Amy went from being my favorite character to the one that I hated and despised the most" after she betrayed Tys love and trust through her affair with Ahmed. It is still hard to realize how she could have done what she did and not show the slightest concern for the emotional pain she was inflicting on Ty. I really dont see how the show can continue with the featured character being portrayed and viewed so negatively. Still, it seems that young women will watch Amber/Amy no matter how negative she proves herself to be.
That was such a sweet letter Ty wrote to Amy! Ty was so sweet to Amy and Amy was so sweet to Ty.
Except for the times she hid her interactions with the prince and explained away all those high priced gifts as part of her "good work" for him. 🤔

I loved Ty's veterinary arc. I loved how it branches out to other animals and not just horses. It complimented so well.

This is one of the most endearing, heart-wrenching, heartbreaking moments in all of heartland. This is what has made Heartland so real. The writers need to go back to this or Heartland becomes another soap.

Agree! I actually think this was the strongest season in YEARS. Since before Ty left the show. Sure, I miss him a lot, but this season was really good.

@@davemcclean1363 the writers wrote the characters of Tim and Lou to the point of me not ever liking them. I am sure there are others out there that feel the same way.
That's very precious to have something so special, things like this, and all the memories when one of your lived ones dies is things no one can ever take away from you. Love this!
I agree with your sediments and that is how real people who charish there partners would behave. My concern that on the Heartland show the character Amy never treated Ty(her partner) like that. She could never say sorry to Ty on all that she did to him, could never shed a tear like TCa indicated at the funeral, or when she found his anniversary note, even when Ty was in hospital near death did not shed a tear. Sure a look of sorrow but no tear. Ty told her he would be with her for life when Amy was temporarily blind, Ty told her on a couple of occasions he would do anything for her. Yet Amy no tear!! Just saying but I agree with your comment. Take care.
@@Ty-ty8ty yeah maybe you are right but I find that she is a person who finds it hard to cry in front of others. She keeps it all hidden until she can’t no more just like we have seen in scenes of her crying alone by herself. I am not sure why she wasn’t more verbal with her feelings whenever Ty got hurt but she showed up for him time and time again so I believe she did do all the things for him that he talked about although I feel like she could have admired him a little bit more like he admired her
@@bekah1154 perhaps but I don't know anyone who who could not cry when there loved one was lying in a hospital bed possibly going to die or was in a plane crash and missing or when there partner actually died! At no point did we see that with Amy when it came to Ty but she cried when her mom passed and when her mom's horse died and when Jack's horse died. But you are right people mourn differently. I think if my partner took a bullet for me and died as a result of it I would have a hard time not crying. Your last line sums up for me all about Amy! She is a Fleming and treating there partner whoever that may be at the time was never achieved. They were too busy admiring themselves!!Lol! Anyway take care good chat.

I disagree about Heartland being the best show on tv. They advertise it as being a family show but if I recall Lou thought she was pregnant before she married Peter. And some of Amy’s actions throughout the seasons, to me, didn’t reflect very good family values.
I don't think Heartland is that kind of show. It is rooted in reality with human characters, dealing with real-life situations and emotions. I too would love for Ty to come back but I think the actor that played him was truly ready to move on to other things, otherwise he would've just gone on another trip, (as he had when Amy was pregnant) but Ty never had a good father growing up, (although Jack was a father figure to him) and he wanted to better for his own daughter, so the thought that he could just come and go doesn't make sense for his character, so as hard as it is for us Tamy fans to take, I believe that the writers had made the right decision in killing him off.
They can’t ever give her a new love interest. They just can’t.

the Only reason Amy returned the new truck and quit working for Ahmed is the fact that Amy was afraid that Ty would find out about those secret kisses from Ahmed (the video)... if you noticed, Amy not only excepted the kiss from Ahmed, she was a willing participant... she never flinched or pulled away...
and those Perks from Ahmed... they would have destroyed Amy and Ty's relationship.
the constant fidgeting with her engagement ring after she got back from Europe, the hesitation to even kiss Ty, and then to Blame Ty for her own actions.

@@traveler142 I like it when you tell everyone the truth about what Amy really did to Ty and why she did it. SHe certainly never actually chose to be with Ty. Instead, she just waited until Ty came back to her as she knew he would. It is unfortunate, but the only reason Amy ever had feelings for Ty (was it really love? ) was because of how unconditionally he loved her. She couldnt help but tell him that she also loved him even though she never actually was committed to him. That is so cold and self centered that it is hard to imagine.
As one commenter said, "Amy went from being her favorite HL character to the one who she dispised and hated the most" . Given her absolute refusal to ever apologize for what she did to Ty, she seems very much to deserve this reputation.

I cried the last season
I know they will have a new love interest for Amy in season 16! Heartland will end the legacy of the series because Amy and Ty were the perfect couple both physically and personality wise! I’m afraid a new love story will end the show because I can’t imagine Amy kissing another guy!
How long have you been watching this series? Amy kisses other guys all of the time. She will not have any trouble getting romantic with her next couple of male suitors / victims. The question is how far will she let them go? The only reason why people will watch this series anymore is to see who Amy will finally end up with. They certainly dont watch it for the positive uplifting emotions, personal role models, or family messages that got them addicted to the show in the first place. None of the Flemings provide that. That is what Tys character gave us.
What will help end the show is if Amy actually starts living with (can you imagine) or marries another man. Do viewers really want to watch Amy "move on" to a new married life without Ty? Perhaps but only in the sense to show that people really can find love again even after a tragedy brings a fairy tale relationship to an end. Beside making Amber, Chris and Michelle more money, that might actually be the only purpose for this show to continue. One other thing that would bring this show to an end is if Amber somehow gets tired of playing Amy Fleming. Until then, I see her living her life somewhat like that of her mother as man after man is thrown into her path just to keep viewers watching.
For now, retaining enough viewers to keep this rebooted series going is all Amber and the other producers care about. We know young women will watch Amy no matter how badly she treats other people. Other viewers, however, still remember her unwillingness to apologize to Ty for betrayal after betrayal. To them Amy has become so unsympathetic and unlikable that they can no longer root for her anymore. I suspect that applies to many young women viewers as well.
When you add in the fact that Amber and the other producers all appear to condone Amys very poor behavior the message of this show becomes kind of ugly. Not really the positive modern woman role model that this show was intended to provide to their viewers.
@@outsideview9052 I agree. If Chase or Amhed appeared again on the show Amy would jump right back in with both. She is not fussy on what man, as long as they show interest in her or give her lavish gifts. She will soon forget Ty with whomever she hooks up with. That's the way she is! A "Fleming" cheat and only interested in themselves. Lyndy will be the one who misses out on a real mom! Never been a fan of Amy for her treatment of people. Ty should have dumped her along long time ago. He was simply too nice.
@@Ty-ty8ty I heard in season 15 that Amy actually expressed regret for not doing the Dark Horse tour. I know she turned down a job as a professional trainer in Florida but I still wonder if she will go back and try to work as a show horse trainer for the European Circuit. She probably wants to go back and experience something that she feels like she had to "sacrifice" in order to be with Ty. Getting involved with Ahmed again would be a disaster for her image. Of course, when has that ever stopped her.
@@outsideview9052 my comment on returning to Amhed was ficious! For sure if that ever happened I think the few remaining Amy worshippers would flip! Yeah she did make that comment re Dark Horse and would not be surprised if they have her join some liberty travelling show. Something I have no interest in seeing. I am a horse lover and enjoy horse training just have no interest in Dark Horse stuff. I have really lost interest in Heartland since Graham's departure. Just too soapy for my liking. I have on previous comments indicated I reside in close proximity to the filming area and know the core people of the area have also lost interest. Yeah nice to have a film going on in your backyard, Canadian actors, the scenary etc but we like a good down to earth "Family" Show for all ages and Amber's role as Amy on so many occasions is not what we would call youth entertainment. She claims to be a role model for youth/ teen female girls. Don't think her episodes with Chase/Amhed, her betrayal of Ty and her best friend Soraya are things people would want there daughters following Amber. And as correspondence once reported indicated that Amber as a consulting producer had a major role in how she wanted to act those scenes with Chase and Amhed. That for many many fans of Heartland were the worst episodes to watch. Anyway I continue to read Heartland comments as I generally have a good laugh reading those from the remaining Amber, little fan club but I no longer watch the show, simply just no storyline, strictly a money grab! Also too many of the original acting crew gone. Yeah can't just add new actors and expect the show storyline to remain the same. Just my opinion.
@@Ty-ty8ty The show initially was just so addicting because there was this positive and uplifting emotional transfer created by Ty and Amys relationship.. Even in the tough times involving Chase, Blair, and everything dealing with the Ahmed/EuropeanTour etc I didnt mind them showing these struggles because they are part of what real relationships can experience. They were also balanced out by the hope that the good guy in the series (Ty) would overcome all of the injustices thrown in his way and finally win the girl of his dreams. What I did not like ,however, was Amy being shown as unwilling to apologize for her betrayals/injustices/mistakes. . By doing that the producers made her into this extremely self centered, unfaithful, dishonest , and digustingly self-rightous person that just ruined the show for me. I suspect it did the same for many other viewers as well. I simply can not root for her anymore. As one young woman commented, "Amy went from being her favorite character to being the one that she despised and hated the most". I dont think Amber and the other producers expected that to happen but it did to a lot of viewers..
The situation was made even worse by Amber proudly telling everyone that even she often cant tell where Amys pesonality and life experiences stop and her personality and life experineces start. Knowing how that affected and possibly even reflected Graham's real life was just another reason not to watch what is now Ambers personal reality show. Indeed, the positive and uplifting emotions from this series have been replaced with feelings of resentment, mistrust, and betrayal. Like you I too have long ago broken my addiction to this show and no longer watch it. Only via comments made to me on my prior postings or through the comments on a few new TH-cam videos such as this one do I hear or read what might be happening. I will likely stop doing that soon as well. Good luck to you and your twin daughters.

Yup I agree with ya. Ty was the show yet Amy got the spot light! Doesn't seem right. The more times I re-watch the seasons the more I wished Ty had left Amy. She treated him like dirt on so many occasions. And now she comes across the anniversary gift/card and can't even shed a tear. She and Chase should have been a couple. They were both of the same mould, all about themselves, all about cheating on there partners. Ty deserved so much better than Amy.
@@Ty-ty8ty I also found it very odd that there are No children on Heartland that has a Father in their day to day lives growing up... kinda makes a little more sense why they had to take Ty from the show.

This part made me cry. That’s what I love about heartland. It makes you laugh, cry and feel like you’re a part of the show. They need to go back to being like this otherwise it will turn into another soap.

I get it's a fictional show but her strength is astonishing. If I lost my husband and found his last gift to me I'd be a train wreck and would need someone to physically pick me up off the floor and sedate me. But I am also not a very strong person after a loss. I cannot begin to imagine losing my husband.

this is where the Series should end, there hasn't been many reverting moments or storylines since S13, and other than a few in S14 and S15 ending, the storyline and new cast members have no chemistry everything feels so scripted there is no flow. So CBS do yourselves a favour and end this once fantastic TV Show , S15 ending would be a nice way to finish. Stop thinking About $$$

Ty died in Season 14 Episode 1. Amy didn't find Ty's gift for their 6th Anniversary until Season 15 Episode 10.

This is yet another year jerker scene that produced years for almost all except Amy. A little surprising? 🤔
Why would you expect Amy to change now? She repeatedly proved that she would shead her tears over horses but never shed those same tears in an effort to save her fairy-tale relationship with Ty. She would rather lose him than do that.
Why do HL young women viewers not tell Amber that they dont support her terrible example of what todays modern woman should be like?

I understand that losing Ty (Graham), was and still is difficult to process. He was a huge part of the story line. But you shouldn't be bashing out the show and it's directors and even Graham himself. Graham was ready to move on from Heartland. It's time that we all start moving past the loss and start accepting the change. As a big fan of Heartland, I still plan on watching and supporting this series as long as possible. Please keep on continuing the series Heartland, no matter how people feel about the changes going on. ❤️

We all miss Ty and we all miss Ty and Amy together. Their love story was truly special. But his death should not mean the end of the show. I think the writers, directors, producers and actors are doing an incredible job showing what happens in a family when a loved one passes away. They’re not just glossing over it. I was very happy that they didn’t give Amy a new love interest right away. To see Amy’s bravery and strength and the mother, daughter bond with Lynda is so heartwarming; S14 Ep7. I look forward to the announcement of Season 16.
I have a difference of opinion, the show is incredibly dull now without the Ty/Amy relationship, they should have found an appropriate way to end it. It is now just struggling along with no story lines that make sense.
I watched Season 14, Episode 10 again. It is clear with the end of Season 14 and Season15, Amy is moving on. Unfortunately, a lot of the fans are NOT moving on. This story is not simply Amy finding another man to mark moving on. The one thing different in this show is how strong the women are so don't short-change any of them, even Lou. They may bend, but they don't break-if you notice. I'm so impressed with how the writers have handled this point-congratulations to Heather and her crew of writers.
Je ne crois pas que Amy passe à autre chose en disant à Lyndy de regarder la lune et de faire un vœu, pour certain dans la série sa rappelle quelque chose, et pourquoi faire lire la lettre par Graham ( Ty ) puisqu'il l'on tué, Amy aurait put lire la lettre tout simplement ,car elle lui était adressé, l'argent de Lili la mère de Ty qui revient et Amy n'en voulait pas et le donne en moitié comme par hasard .Tout n'est pas clair dans la fin de la Saison 15 !!!!!!! comme Lou qui recouche avec Peter mais ils vont résider ou car c'était sa le problème de leur divorce entre autre, tout doit se passer à Heartland , c'est le but de la série. ❓❓
If she was a strong women, she wouldn’t need a man to complete her. Her mother didn’t. She loved Tim and only Tim.
If Amy and Lou are examples of what Strong, Independent , and Modern women should be like than I think that is pretty disappointing. They do not represent a positive image that young women should look up to or try to emmulate.
