no problem my friend👍, a good point to note is that the upgraded centre shaft and bevel gears from the 16889 also fit so you can get a much more robust transmission.😁👍👍
Ive stripped the teeth off 3 centre shaft rear bevel gears in as many months on my hbx 16889a pro currently on my 4th one after not much driving & no skate park driving at all. They ars definitely a weak point i havnt seen anyone on youtube talk about
I get totally crazy about Hypergo. Regarding the F-service, the need to build beter manual’s I have 2 x 16207, 2 x 16208, 4 x 14301, 1 x 14309, and 1 x 143010. The 16207 broke all gears and the differential after 10 times of driving. Every time, the small screw on the main shaft loosened. In total 8 times the main shaft broke two times. 6 diff are broke only after 10 runes. The 16208 lasts me on 2S for 30 to 35 times of driving. Four differentials and two main gears have broken. Nothing else has broken on my 1/6 scale RC car. For the 14301, three left dog bones have broken. The servo broke 8 times. Out of the 4 cars with 70mm wheels, the gears broke after 42 times of driving. The strange thing is that the expensive wheels only last 2 or 3 times of driving on 3S. Oh, and the steering axle broke after the first drive, which was really weird, after only 2 minutes. The 14301 is not waterproof, and the servo died after two runs. As for the 14310, after four drives, the rear gear doesn't sound good.
In the original rebuild at the start of the video we put some on the ring before the time lapse. In the woods we simply didn't have any to hand. Rest easy we have since fully greased both front and rear.👍👍
Metal on metal for the win! 😅
Yeah kinda knew this little monster would murder the plastic ones😂😂
cool vid! appreciate the views number! keep it up! big like! 👍👍👍
Thanks buddy I really appreciate it 🙏.
Stilltough little critters, cant wait for mine to arrive
Not long now bud🤞🤞😁
Showing that hbx 16889 diff gears would fit directly to mjx was an invaluable information. Thanks

thanks for the insights! Where did you get these tyres? I love my mjx and recently ordered the 14th scale rally car. Cheers from Germany

That's a crazy amount of failures dude I might have a look at a full tear down to see if the weak points are common across the range.
Did you get the upgraded diffs or just replace them with the original diffs?
I see your not putting grease on the diff ring gear after you seat the diff in the housing you need grease in there

From my experience your wheels and tires are too heavy on acceleration and stopping it rips differentials. Just my experience
Yeah it looks like that may be a factor for sure👍
