Firstly want to say this is a great first song by X. In some ways it reminds me of Dance With The Devil by Immortal Technique and the transition shows inspiration from Odd Future both obviously the beat but perhaps even more-so the vulgarity of the lyrics. Very stylish in the mixture of sounds on this for his first song. Very telling of his later work in many of its collective aspects. Vice City will probably always be my favorite earlier song from X it just has some magic to it. This has something special to it as well. Found out about this from Trap Lore Ross and its weird because I saw the X interview on No Jumper when he first talked about this song but didn't remember hearing him mention this because at the time to me he was kind of just another rapper being interviewed on the show. I got into the music after but missed this track until now. Its cool to discover the early stuff like this. The beat is sparse and bizarre, I like the backtracking and thinking that maybe his mother made him do that or maybe he chose that for some reason. The flow is more like classic boombap and well told you can tell he wasn't singing but his Jamaican roots were coming out early on here which is surprising and almost reminds me of Matisyahu for some reason even though Matisyahu is not Jamaican. Even the album artwork shows a bit of influence for his aesthetic. This song was really like a seed for his career's work. At 15 talking about these topics shows an awareness to some heavy subject matter and also an understanding that life isn't always fair. this sounds kinda like wu tang ,weirdly
Quin4thewin ohh so you like basic shit like lil pump huh 😂
wow, his talent is unmatched, I don't believe we'll ever get to see an artist with such sureal music. It sucks people stop listening just because hes dead
OHHHH I GET IT, it's called NEWS / FLOCK because it's 2 songs in one, News was made from something that came on the news about a Navy killing his wife and baby, Flock is a complete different song
News is his very very first song x claims this is his song but the first part of this song is his first song 2nd part is diff
You could already hear what was to come from this, he had a super original hook in the beginning when a lot of artists would’ve just started rapping. The versatility was already there
As a X fan and Jamaican, I love how X used a lil Jamaican creole in this song
LLJ💔🙏🏾
All jokes aside this really does go hard surprised it hasn't blown up!
2024 who’s here??? R.I.P legend 🙏🏼
this song is long gone, lost history that needs to be brought back.
Um it’s available it’s right here buddy lol
Holy shit. X is a fucking legend. Just imagine what could be done if x and juice were still here. The whole industry wouldn't stand a chance.
That's so awesome that XXX used the oldie beat from OF!
X's first song ever made fire
4 minutes
1 legend
1 song
Not alive
😭
2 beats
He told a whole damn story what a legend long live x
dude this song is so good wish x was alive to make more music like dis.
nas and pac vibes bro and ofc tyler bro was definitely inspired from the OGs and that’s amazing. rappers nowadays don’t show much love to them.
may he rest in peace. X
just watched the x documentary and i had to find this full song
Just gonna be here before people claim they know this song in the future, x is a goat I may comment on this later but this song is forever legendary
I didn't know I needed this 🫣👾🎮♾️🦾☄️😶🌫️👀
the storytelling is so beautiful. damn.
3:15 that Jamaican part is crazy 😂 putting the words together in English is rough tho
Thats what im saying vro!
“Better yet beyonce, had to take her top off, gun shots pop off, I don’t fuck around with them boys, them boys get cut off, tell his boy to go to his girl and suck his bloodclaat”
Sounds way better in patois (Jamaican language)
@@asylum_sauce7484 it’s just West Indian language cause it’s used in mad other countries
@@asylum_sauce7484 patwah my language
This reminds me of the song dancing with the devil
Send chills down my spine
2021 and i still love this
Pure slick Rick essence flowing thru him
LLJ🕊 forever a legend. Taken too soon and so so talented even at 15 this song goes crazy.
When x was a kid he had more of a Jamaican accent and when he got older started having that southern mix with NY accent
He’s from Florida tho
Long live the goat
Black Eminem
Tupacs son, eminem didnt die yet
Odd future too
LIT PINK frrr 😂😂😂😂
Jamaican eminem

I started to listen to his songs when 2020 started, but I feel like I've been listening him since the first song... R.I.P. X 🥺💔
Such a Masterpiece at age of 15 😮💨 Born a Superstar ❤
"No Rappers first song Sounds goo... Nevermind."
Tbh this one song is better than a lot of his songs but if it was produced better it be his best... but he made it at 15 so I can understand y but still damn this is AMAZING
Not gonna lie, he went harder on Flock
yea lol
Well if you look at it
His first music video was
Half Bullshit Half woke shit
So was his first song (this)
It's the duality of personality
Especially his.
Yes no shit sherlock i mean news is good too but flock is actual fire
You know that the first song is flock and the second is news right?
@@drkaid8160 shut up lame
The transition always gets me!
This was his first song... Absolute legend
It's been 3 years without him😪

@@nathanthapharmicist why are u answering to ur own comment 💀
Cuz im insane and i need help
Reminds me so much of Brenda’s got a baby in the lyrics and the beat so much of dancing with the devil
even though this song wouldn’t be considered “rare” anymore, i think that this song deserves to be heard by millions
