This is beautiful
What amazes me almost as much as the performance is how the members of the audience could listen without collapsing into tears...
@Arthur Jackson or clapping in some cases
This is so beautiful and yet so sad all at once. It sounds like the climax of a movie. It makes me think of the movie The Pianist.
This was the best version that I've heard of this song. Way to go!
Thanks a bunch!
Thanks a lot! Glad to hear you appreciate it!
Wonderful!! Wunderbar!!!
The first time I listened this masterpiece, was last year in an international Festival of choirs in my city (Guayaquil, Ecuador) The director explains the context of the lyric, and suddenly they began... It was the most beautiful experience, I love that composition, literally I cried and a lot of people did it too. Every time I watch this video, it causes the same experience as the one I has last year. Thanks, beautiful interpretation, it really means a lot. ♥
The quality of your sound is exceptional - so well-balanced between all voices and very transparent. Huge compliment and respect!
Thank you so much for your nice compliment!
This piece is one of my personal favorites! The tight harmonies bound with the poem’s message are powerful. When I sung this, the Alto 2’s had the toughest time because they had the most measures of dissonance and vocal clusters than anyone else; however all of you tackled this piece with flying colors!
Wow thanks a lot :) It's a very beautiful song indeed, and as Eric Whitacre says, he loves the altos. So do we, our heroes!
Beautiful performance. The acoustical space really highlights these harmonies. And the pen drop at 3:15 would make John Cage proud.
I actually went "🤬🤬" at the pen drop, but your remark made me laugh!
when I thought I would never find a better version than St. Olaf or Tuks Camerata....I found this. WOWSERS!! Bravo
Sublime, bello. I had the grace to sing this song for Christmas 2020.
Beautiful, so many Whitacre-esque chords ;)
Nicely spotted, it's a beautiful piece!
Magnificent. Few songs ever made me burst into tears - this was one of them. I'm speechless, just thank you. ❤️
I would like to say something about these words and the marrying of the most beautiful music but I cannot. I am too overcome.
those pauses were so quiet, it’s like you could almost hear a pen drop…
Beautiful performance❤
Thank you!
Absolutely breathtaking! Thank you for sharing.
Great conductor, great choir!
Thank you for your nice comment!
Splendid.

I am singing this in a women’s ensemble. I have to say I love the depth of mixed voices. The quality of the recording and performance is excellent. Love it!

Who the hell downvoted
Singing this currently with the midlands chamber choir of South Africa, where things have not become anything like the conditions of a concentration camp but the meaning is poignant in this context

❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊
Too fast, too loud in forte passages. Sound not noble enough.
