l j I don't think it was the same pool as by the Gabriella walker era the show had moved to Scotland however the sets look the same i do understand the confusion
Two characters with hidden depths in this episode - Grantly for actually seeing through Jem Allen and rescuing a student in danger; and Philip for taking charge of the situation when Grantly had his attack.
This episode is brilliant. Grantly is initially portrayed as the bitter and grumpy "villain", but it turns out that he is the voice of reason after all. In the end, he becomes the hero of the day. The juxtaposition of this apparent transition with the allegory of Animal Farm is a stroke of genius on the part of the writers.
Love this! Also, I loved the moment back in Series 3 (not sure which ep) when Eddie gifted Rachel a copy of Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment. In the story of Crime and Punishment, the novel's lead character falls in love with an ex-prostitute who did what she did in order to survive ...Now look what's happened! This bit of foreshadowing from the writers actually blew my mind haha, so subtle but so clever!
So basically they went on a school trip to a mansion and got too drink really expensive champagne whilst playing video games and also got an afternooon off school - why couldn't i go to this school when i was younger.
Kim turning the argument that Chlo should be able to go to a Uni in Bristol/London into a feminist issue is quite pathetic. Chlo moving to London/Bristol will leave Chlo a 4 hour journey away from Donte meaning Donte will have to do all the childcare with no emotional or financial support or even worse he will be 4 hours away from his child if Chlo decides to take the baby with her. Only party at a disadvantage here is clearly Donte so maybe Kim should not be so quick to get involved or judge. I would say the same to an academically gifted guy who impregnated a girl. No parent should be at a Uni 4 hours away from their child that early in their lives, leaving them incapable of supporting the other parent either emotionally or financially.
Except that it *is* a feminist issue, considering Donte is chaining poor Chlo to her unborn baby, not letting her make her own choices or do what she wants; "you are a mother first and foremost"; like all she is is an incubator. No, the only disadvantaged one is Chlo, since she's the one who's pressured and bullied, even guilt-tripped into giving up her future when Donte doesn't. If she puts motherhood first, her future is screwed; if she puts uni first, she's guilt-tripped and slated as a "bad mother" while Donte doesn't face this; he gets the joy of having a son and getting a future; without being guilt-tripped. So yes it is a feminist issue, and kudos to Kim for being the only one to say this.
@@marinatebbenham4011 She shouldn't have had sex, everyone even teenagers know the risk. And by Feminism, you mean Female superiority and entitlement, then yes, I agree - it's a Feminist issue.
@@marinatebbenham4011 Huh, what a useless comment, he isn't chaining "poor" chlo, he is the only one who makes sense, you get pregnant, nothing else should matter apart from the child, he didn't say "only I matter" he put the baby first unlike Chlo, he said he will support her and the child. Grow up and leave your feminist views as they are poisonous.
Gypsie Palmer I literally thought she was the same person, and typed "I didn't know Lorraine was in the earlier series", then I realised same actress, different charecters.
I can totally see Donte's point. Clearly Chlo has the intelligence to go to university to fulfill the potential in life so Donte should be willing to support her in going to Uni by carrying out the bulk of the childcare. However a child needs both parents in their lives and Chlo should not be considering any Uni outside of Manchester/Liverpool area especially London or Bristol which must be about a 4 hour journey from Manchester. I would say the same to an academically gifted guy who impregnated a girl. No parent should be at a Uni 4 hours away from their child that early in their lives, leaving them incapable of supporting the other parent either emotionally or financially. hello! I appreciate all the uploads you do for us! Please can you upload series 9 and 10? I really need to know where I can find Waterloo road episodes. 💗
Grantly is just typical old school but what the hell goes in Jasmine’s mind she just blends in too much with new comers or people who have flashy things but Jem was showing off about the apartment and it wasn’t hers but to trick and fool everyone is shocking and that’s what Eddie did told her to do 1 because of her bullshit
Donte has a point tbh. It isn't just Chlo's life to think about. She's married and about to be a mother. Can't be overly selfish and only think of her own future...
No seriously, I have been trying to find the name for that for weeks now and the name isn't listed anywhere. If anyone can help it'll be much appreciated.
Does anybody know the background music/track at 12:44?! Plays again in S04E17 when Marley is talking to Flick about her mum's ring. Please let me know if you do. Cheers :)
She comes back later on in the series when moving to Greenock Scotland. Different character but can that actually happen though but then again it’s different.
Rachel is so funny when she's jealous 😂😂 If anyone has read the scripts on the Writersroom website, you'll see how many of her jibes and brill comments they've actually edited out of this episode 😂😫 gutted
The relationship between Flic and Chlo is so gorgeous 💗
Ashlee Gale I love that they’re nice to each other and not toxic like some of the friendships in this show.
I think that because neither of them have mums they can bond over that :)
16:06 "I'm a princess and I live in a palace." Omg, I love Grantly so much.
who doesn't love Grantly
2BritishBoyz innit loooooooool
Connor Garcia why thank you
2BritishBoyz Ruruf
Laughed so hard lol 😆
Lol even Karla is shouting liar at the teacher.
The swimming pool in that teachers house is the same one in Brett's house when Donte beat him up
Eoin Richardson and the same as Gabriella warks
Budget innit
They must use the same stereotypical rich person’s house set

Nope
Eww WHY? As what?
No
Meeeeee
Sambuca looks so nice in her uniform !
Fit isnt she ;)
Do people actually think she’s fit? I think she’s disgusting
Wtf she's not disgusting l0l
I like Jasmine but sometimes she’s so infuriating. She can be so clouded by her own judgement and biases
