I was thinking of a way to make a claric have a crazy amout of dps like broken u stack magic dmg and get a mage to ignite u while u cast the buffs on urself and also use smite u will vary likely 1 shot with trash wep lol
I loved it. If you ever get The Set again try to cast a few spells at enemies, let them think you are a normal mage. Then go behind a corner, ignite and when they come - *bonk*! I wish the bonk wizard could smash a door with one hit, somebody runs, closes the doors but you just bonk through them. I wish I could see that at 27:25 :) *bonk wizard, 95%phys red fighter and drunk cleric walk in the bar...*
As I've already stated in the DnD discord. Damage stacking is just dumb powerful and needs to be almost entirely removed. Let strength be the only form of physical damage scaling and the game solves a lot of currently existing problems regarding balance.
@@soopFPS Solo is viable, you just have to have a bare minimum depending on your class. Rogue doesn't need anything. Fighter needs your preferred weapon, probably with white quality. I have killed like 5 people in a lobby as a solo Fighter starting with a white weapon and starting armor. And I dropped the chest piece because it's worthless. The game is hard if you don't know how the map works. Most teams don't even notice you if you are solo until you come into LOS, as long as you are not an idiot that tramples around recklessly.
I disagree, this shouldn't be nerfed, EVERY imaginable playstyle should be playable, i think a melee wizard is hilarious and honestly not that OP if people weren't bots

If you had stacked this much +dmg on ANY other class in the game, it would simply be better.. which is scary because it's VERY powerful in the video. Damage stacking needs to be removed or completely readjusted in some way.

@@fosted8173 To get 95% you have to wear Fine Cuirass usually which means you will have negative MR. The likelihood that a fighter with a 95% phys reduction set also has good MR is extremely small
@@fosted8173 zap is a basic, fast, ranged, easy to land skill that is supposed to do shit damage. flat dmg scaling makes it, fast, ranged easy to land nuke. feelsbadman
The point of dank gear is not to play in default baby mode lobbies. It's not working the way it should at the moment because there will be at least 1 more map on release. Realistically, if you do this and you aren't the top 1% of players just memeing on everyone like this uploader, then you are going to lose all your gear for no reason. And it happens anyway at the end of this video. I mean you say this is absurd, but on the other hand that fighter just got a legendary gear set, he probably made like 10k gold off that at least.
@@CrizzyEyes I say it's absurd because I know for a fact gear scaling is an issue currently. There are many fights I win simply off of having better gear. Too many stat rolls, all attribute rolls, etc. This causes a massive disparrity between something as simple as white and greens or even greens to blues. I firmly think they can dial back gear scaling and it will still be fine. You do not have to be an incredible player to body lobbies. As it is now from playtest 4, many fights are strictly dictacted by who has the higher stat numbers.
@@saint_snow So nobody ever dodges attacks or uses traps, mobs, explosion bottles, etc. to their advantage in your fights? Your fights are all literally just people standing there saying "Hey guys let's have a Final Fantasy style turn based fight. I bonked you on the head. Now you go"
@@CrizzyEyes Oh they do, but the only way to evade well is to stack more movespeed/agility as there is no actual dodge mechanic. That's why people take off all their clothes with starter kits. They hinder more than they help. There is literally no point wearing armor until you have rolls to outweigh the cons of movement speed penalties. Mobs are nothing, Bottles are nothing, traps can be an issue, but just be better and aware. Other than that, I just run through them and carve them down in one shot. Buff ball meta makes it even worse when you stack up everything one one person and they mow through anyone like a lawnmower. And that's just melee, ranger or wiz can still just drop you before the fight even starts.

I've seen naked rogues kill people by luring mobs into them after they made the unfortunate mistake of going into a room with only 1 exit. Bottles are not nothing either; it all depends on your positioning, but they can deny an area quite easily. It's usually not about the damage they deal but about the area they deny. Most people don't willingly step into a zone that damages them and there isn't any way of knowing how high quality the bottle they threw was. Even worse if you decide to chance it and get Judgement'd or Slow'd while crossing the fire, both skills that require no gear to utilize. It seems like you're just greatly undervaluing skill and knowledge in this game. Gear is certainly an advantage but if someone makes a serious mistake or are simply unaware, they can die very easily regardless of gear. The frequency of gear-reliant meme builds like 95% phys damage reduction on the Fighter is simply not that great, which is why videos are made about them; otherwise it wouldn't be very special. Some people simply get carried in groups of 3 all the way up to high roller and aren't very good despite having good gear. Others routinely play naked just for laughs and are incredibly good. The other side of the coin is that if gear is nerfed so that the typical player with white gear has a favorable chance against someone with purples or higher, then the incentive to get those items, which can be rather difficult to obtain, is lost. There would be no point and skilled players would dominate lobbies with white longswords or spellbooks because it is less risky. The point of the game is being greedy and getting loot; if the loot is undervalued, it undermines the whole game. If you want a balanced medieval combat game then play Mordhau.

@@fosted8173 Zap just scales well it you have good gear as a Wizard. The fighter with 95% probably doesn't have a ton of magic resistance in that set
