One of my favorite scenes. If I were Jiaxu, I would also fall in love with Sang Zhi at this exact moment, too. The way she takes care of him, taking him out of that place while he was dazed, telling him to put on his coat, wiping his face and putting on the scarf for him…sometimes at your low points, all you need is a simple, tender gesture which warms you to the core ❤

When she got up and threw the water back at her face I knew that this would be the turning point for him for real. Before this he cared about her but that was just being a decent human being. Here he starts to see that there is another person who's willing to go to war for him if needed. Well done!
Her response was instantaneous, born out of love and loyalty. Outstanding is all one can say.
This drama 100% deserves its spot as #1 drama of all time on MDL. I can't remember the last time I've ever seen such a refreshingly sweet, well done, and perfect in almost every way romance.

Its always Duan Jiaxu who takes care & protected Sang Zhi before so, when he was assaulted in front of her she stood up and protected him too. She was so upset that Jiaxu got hurt. He's been so kind, caring & warm towards her like an older brother. I think this was also the time that he started to see Sang Zhi differently too.
Indeed. This is the first point where he sees her as in a different light, as an adult, no longer just an adorable little girl who needs pampering and protection, but someone who is also strong and brave enough to stand for her people (family, friends & co.).
He has always been shouldering burden and be responsible for everything for years... since he met the Sang family he finally felt love again after her family has gone.
For all other Sang family he felt grateful, with Sangzhi he could finally have the feeling of being relied upon, in fact.. he did enjoy being her beloved brother... someone she turned to when she needs support and help, willingly. It's probably like a feeling of being useful.. not a loser who only has endless problem. For Sangzhi he could give his love that has no place to put on anymore since no one else left around him that deserves it.. She's so adorable, innocent, she can be mischievous but still a kind soul at the same time, she's a well bred young lady, generous..therefore he could pamper and spoil her without a care.
But at this point of time, she gave him the feeling that he could also rely on her.
It's a novel feeling for him to be protected, after lost that feeling for so long...and Sangzhi gave him that despite not understanding the circumstance. She did it unconditionally, she trusted him unconditionally...That touched him certainly.
Another girl might have reacted differently when experiencing a woman splashing water into your "date"... suspicion and jealousy are the common reaction, humiliation feeling to be catched in that situation cos outsiders might think that he was catched redhanded cheating on his true girlfriend whereas Sangzhi might be the third party.
But that's not how Sangzhi reacted, so it's definitely touching him.
The way she loved him from the very beginning, endured every heartbreak in loving him in silence and taking care of him during these times. She’s amazing and I would fall for her too if I was him.
Not trying to ruin the mood but this is a reminder that I need to carry ointment in my bag at all times just in case 👍🏻
Love this series! So well written and directed. The artists are all good at portraying their character. Zhao Lusi’s versatility as an actress is top notch as shown in this series.
Dude what versatility? She does the same romantic roles every time. She is a good actress but def not versatile

He caught feelings for her even before this episode.their first encounter after 2 yrs was full of intense looks and stares.
I agree. I think that he really missed her over that 2 years. She pretty much stopped talking to him and avoided him. It just that he told himself that it wasn't possible,that he didn't deserve that love and that she was off limits anyway.
I think this is the moment he really acknowledged what his feelings were for real and the possibility of her feeling the same.

I have seen Hidden Love everyday for three weeks now. I can’t stop looking at it. The story has a refreshing tender story line. I can’t wait for season two. I am so excited to see how their life is after graduation with both of the them having a strong character.

I can never ever get over this drama so sweet and heartwarming and has such devoted love interests. Like Sang zhi never let her trust and love for Duan jiaxu waver even after knowing the possibility that he may never be hers . She prayed to be the person to make him happy and cared for and that is so realistic for a person in love like you just don't want to make them happy but be a reason for that happiness as well . After watching this drama , i can't watch any other drama because they aren't able to pick my interest any more. Such a sweet storyline no love triangle or unnecessary exes just two people loving and growing in the relationship together . Thanks to the makers for this wonderful drama

I love this episode. Jiaxu eye's opening up to possiblities that he had never thought about before. Seeing Sang Zhi with new eyes. Amazing...this is where he fell in love with her. Cheng Zue Huan....I'm a new fan because of this series. It's his eyes that sell me on how good an actor he is. I will attempt to see everything he is in...attempt! SOme of his earlier series will take some getting used to although I already saw him in Handsome Siblings and a young Cheng Zue Yuan is....adorably cute and he nailed that fierce, crazy, upbeat character. He made the series fun.
