Hi... Aris Greetings from Ghana... I wanna let you know you are touching lives with your appsheet series here in Ghana👍... And for that I say thanks very much.... I do have a problem I wanna share though... It's about getting an expression to give out the week number of the month when given a specified date... Eg. Week 1 - Week 5... Thanks for the video in advance... And God bless you....💪
Thank you for the great content! Always looking forward to your videos. Question: Iis there a possibility in appsheet to create a link to internal file (or folder) on your local drive?
hi. nice video. Just as past i always love the way you teach Brother . I need to allow users in my industry to allow deleting or editing a record till the time it hasn’t been approved by super admin,. Once approved they should be only be able to see the entries but not be able to delete or edit them . Please share your views on this
Before i begin .... All my databases are sheets ... there is no database in the Appsheet app. Appsheet maintains these sheets. another need .... in one table i collect files and store it with a special path. when i now delete an item of this table, the original file ( file in one of the 7 to 10 subfolders, where i have stored ) will not be deleted. As an administrator you can delete files described by your way .... but when the app is in production, the users may not delete files in this way. I have detected another problem .... i have a central folder .... and downunder ( 😊 ) many subfolders .... when creating the table i select the central folder .... and then ..... the table has only the folder with the subfolders as item ... ( because the files lay down ... in a second or third subfolder )
Mr Alberich, you are spot on! that is an issue for sure! i've came across the same problem and there's a few ways to handle such known issues. the workaround for now that i foresee is, Add each folder independently (a necessary mundane process) . Then we can slice it up to hide the subfolder in each view (if any). let me see what else we can do to overcome this. Thank you for highlighting this issue. I appreciate it with much gratitude.
Hi aris, I on the other hand would like to know for example if I have an app where animals are registered if one goes missing how do I get appsheet to register this event and for it to register it to me as deceased? I look forward to your reply Thank you in advance
Hello Mattia! Seems like something we can do. Looks like we can combine the IF function or use and Action straight away to set an input to your column. But explaining here would be difficult. Let me do one video for you
Great explanation of this method, Thanks for your time!
