I found it cool how they were able to make both endings cannon in the game. Not only that technically all the arcade endings in mk 11 are cannon as well
all that was already implied in mk11 tho. I was really looking foward to NEW stuff like the first hour and a half of the story then it just goes back to nah man its all irrelevant old timelines still around/threat and its still just a finale of liu kang and shang tsung from aftermath. Thats what i get for expecting something new and interesting to happen. I loved the setup and role reversal of liu kang as the new story telling protector and the potential.
I low-key didn't like it. Tired of multiple timelines

@@ccelite3782we saw why. He showed up killed raiden so hard he turned evil, killed Shang Tsung, and made Quan chi run away. Then after his years of training across the realms shujinko had to literally absorb the power of the entire cast to beat him. Because the combo of him ermac and liu kangs ghost wasn’t enough to beat him. And whole time in the background nightwolf is corrupting his own soul to go to the netherrealm so he can trap onagas soul after he loses. Bro was OP

I said in June or July Mortal kombat 1 will be the greatest mk game of all time and by seeing this I’m very impressed and I’m happy and excited to play it

Like I do enjoy the chaos of this new Armageddon.
But they had some really characters with some really cool and grounded stories. Reptile, Baraka, Asrah, General Shao and Sub-Zero. All of their stories were setting up to be be super compelling, but had to take a back seat to this multiverse chaos
It’s no “Both Johnny Cages vanish right after you play as them and are never brought up again,” at least. (Mk11 story.)
Just wanna remind ya these stories don't matter as an alternative evil version of them exist which means ultimately anything these characters do don't matter nor carry any weight
They get as fleshed out as they usually do in Mk games. Also, if you noticed, the tower endings aren't crazy what-ifs this time.
That's cuz they're actually trying to make all of them canon so every single character's arc gets nicely wrapped up and ready for the next title. Granted it's probably gonna be as consistent as any other fighting game or comic book as far as lore.

I think it’s more like that these fighters are the younger versions. Raiden barely became a champion I doubt he would sound wise
As cool as the two timelines colliding is, I think they shouldve saved it for maybe another one or two games after this. I was really excited to see this new timeline all fleshed out but unfortunately we'll have to wait for this alternate timeline Shang Tsung stuff to be over.
To be fair, one would assume Mk11 jumped the shark, but incredibly, they managed to jump an even bigger shark here.
I'm definitely interested to see what Lord havok chaosrealm brings to this franchise.

The entire storyline started in 2011 so it’s 12 years in the making

If you noticed the older mk games was supposed to be realm vs realm. But yet we only ever see earth realm vs outworld. I think they used this game as a way to explain how everyone got where they ended up at. Then the next will finally be order realm or chaos realm vs earth realm. Which should have been that from the jump tbh. Show us a different realm trying to take over

I’m true MK fashion this one game was beautiful, bizarre, self-referential and self-deprecating and attempting to give each character it’s due. In a way, it was truly Mortal Kombat 12 and then officially became Mortal Kombat 1 after the timelines were discovered.

I was hoping for onaga being released and more fleshed out stories for lius time-line. It felt like character's kinda showed up and just fell out of the story. Still cool to get a reimagining of the armageddom pyramid war

Am I the only one distracted by the fact that the post credits scene makes no sense? Liu Kang said the timeline was collapsing because there was no Shang Tsung to support it after his defeat. And then we discover it's an origin for the Chaos Realm with a Titan Havok about to take control and it's no longer quaking... Remember when Liu Kang said it was collapsing?
If you say this Titan Havok was the original creator of this timeline, why did it still quake after Shang Tsung was defeated?
So Liu Kang might have been correct about there being good in alot the villains as long they make the effort to change cuz never would I have expected a Heroic Shao Khan, Quan Chi, and Shang Frickin Tsung could feasibly exist. That said I thing its pretty dope that the new era Shang Tsung got see first hand just how big of a bastard his OG timeline self is. Like its very telling that Shang and Quan were so appalled by OG Shang's actions they said. "screw it, we may be evil but even we got morals"

Couldn't get the meaning of this last cutscene. Liu Kang told this dimension is going to explode and sent everybody to their time lines. Seems they gonna explain us in next part of the game, how these guys and dimension survived
