  • In this video I show you how to make a Revolver cocktail. This video is NOT about making guns :) There will be some pyrotechnics though...
    The Revolver is a combination of whiskey and coffee (liqueur) and it has been around since the early 2000's.
    So if you like bourbon cocktails with coffee, this is a must try! I also make 2 verisons, one using #mrblack coffee liqueur and one using a different coffee liqueur...Stick around till the end to see which one I prefer!
    The Revolver
    2 dashes orange bitters
    1/2 oz (15ml) Coffee Liqueur
    2 oz (60ml) Bourbon
    Stir, serve up and garnish with a flamed orange peel.

    Good stuff man. Love that dramatic cowboy shot intro. Also, I too have lost some glasses to the freezer, I know that pain. Anyhows, Revolver is one of my favorite cocktails ever, this and Mosquito. I ended up going the opposite direction, where I started with a sweeter coffee liqueur, then switched to Mr. Black because of it's dryer flavor. Either way, super rad cocktail, another great ep!

    When I make em at home my preference is an overproof rye by the name Willett. Really packs it with a punch!

    3:10 No need to "defend" your argument based on personal opinion on taste, bro! Having tasted both I can pretty accurately say I know how you feel like when you made and reviewed these two. Borghetti is absolutely positively a stunner of a(n espresso) coffee liqueur! I wish I had more of it back here in this periferia!
    Good video and presentation, not forgetting the Revolver is a fun twisty OF drink.
    I gotta personally thank Vino to first introducing it way back when so I could make it too.

    I'm right there with you on the sweetness. I made a version of this using a poitín coffee liqueur which was aged in bourbon casks, super sweet and dense and it really brought out the coffee flavours in the revolver.

    I adore the Revolver... I mean... really everything tastes good with coffee! Perfect Brunch drink... or anytime drink. And I hear you about the casualties... I just had a tripod tip, hit my ice whacker (technical term) which knocked over a brand spankin new never used Belgian Taster... I'm not gonna lie... I cried. Cheers!

    • @WhiskeySugarBitters
      @WhiskeySugarBitters  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh no!! 😆😆 I once knocked my camera over in a way that it literally fell into the glass (lense first!) I was shooting! Freak accident for sure! But somehow, the big ice cube in the glass prevented it from dipping the lense more than the tip, and miraculously, it didn't even scratch or damage it. I got lucky with that one for sure 🤣
