Daphne your post has gotten me so excited about spring. I'm in NC and the stain you used to refresh your porch and walkways look fantastic! My front steps are waiting on me to freshen up. My homes was built 2930, the brisk was a mingled color brick and I finally painted the house Alabaster. I left the steps to paint a German Smeer but I may stain them black instead... thank you!!!!!!🤗
Hello there, oh, I’m so happy! I can’t wait too. Thank you so much. I’m sure Alabaster is very pretty. I think that would really pop. Let me know how it goes. 🖤🖤🖤
i just found you. i just loved your projects. things that normal gardeners will experience & how you addressed them - with your elbow grease. youve done a PHENOMAL job!!
Hello Fay, thank you. I’m so happy you found me, it is nice to meet you. I was so surprised when I first used that stain and saw how beautiful it was. My hubby joked all season on what I would stain next. 😂
Your entry way staining project looks Fab! I didn't know you can use wood stain; good economy there Daphne. I have 18 - inch pavers on 2 large patios & connected pathways that are showing surface wear & I'd love to try a multi-color stain. I'll read the comments for any tips. Such a pretty entry! Yay! 🎉❤
I used regular outdoor stain on the concrete blocks around the base of my home when I gave up on idea of using stone due to cost. It’s been years and still looks fine and holds up just fine to power wash.
It is not recommended to use wood stain on concrete. The color may peel/flake off or fade prematurely because of the different chemistry and properties between wood and concrete. So if you want to spend more money redoing everything more often, your choice.
@@daphnesoutdoorliving6146 I moved to Pensacola in 2023 and have a few small videos of my yard and front of house plants. Most of it in front is still the builder's plants and shrubs. I want to get four season interest going by having a mix of evergreens and flowering plants. In the back yard, I want to do a pergola and pavers outside the screen porch and put up a fence, etc. So many things to do. Right now, I'm looking for a new job, and it's a bit cold here for that. 45 today. Freezes at night over the next few weeks, then back to warmer weather soon. I also do veggies in the back yard.

Hello Cathy, oh, thank you so much. I’m so happy when I read comments like yours. I just love the community we have here and you all motivate me to keep going. 👊🏾 happy New year to you too!
Daphne, I like the way your pathway and steps turned out! They look great! I really enjoyed viewing your garden and just love the daffodils and heuchera that add alot of vibrant color to your garden. I am enjoying living in Southwestern.Indiana in Zone 7A and will continue to work on our garden and outside of our home once Spring returns!
