I believe in jury nullification. I’ve never wavered from this position, and thankfully I’m not on that jury but this is a stark example of why. The jury has the right to say that the way the law is being applied isn’t right. Anyone with spare brain cells knows this isn’t right.

Which begs the question of whether the verdict, if guilty, is actually the right verdict. Even as an Independent, I have little to no trust in the verdict from such a jury as this.
