    I received my KS copy about a week ago, and it is gorgeous in print as well :) Also small note mentioned in the introduction, the table of contents is also formatted to be usable as Random Encounter tables; If you want a random monster to build a dungeon around (or the Ampersand method by the Alexandrian: roll two and combine), you can roll a d20 (20 categories) and a d10 (10 monsters by category).

      Thanks for letting us know about the print quality! And yeah there was so much stuff I was still finding after I did the recording I realized I could have done a whole deep dive on the small intricacies of the layout :D

      @@wasabiburger3047 I can double down on that. The print quality is very good.

    Thanks for picking up the book from us and the shout out! Folks can switch to different currencies at the top left of our interface. The default is $CAD. The other day I rolled a Colossal Insect - Wasp - with an "earthquake" attack who was playing with cow bones.

      The book arrived so quickly and in perfect condition, so thank you as well!

    I like this idea much better than just another tome of monsters. Anything that makes a book more useful and versatile is always welcome. Leave it to the indies to do what the "caretakers" should be doing but can't be bothered.

    This video makes me want to hunt down and find a copy of this book! Great review and I also don't know why I haven't heard about this before.

    Can confirm it's super useful and I've used it with multiple different kinds of campaigns, including Gothic and science fantasy. The physical book is also THICC.

    I'm all in with the Dolmenwood kickstarter now so can't get the physical copy. Pdf is pricey but between your review and the in depth one Daddy Rolled a 1 did this looks like an absolute must have resource!

      Looks like there are still 83 according to the Compose Dream Games page I have linked in the description. Might be pricey for you but you can snag one there.

      I think you may be able to get it on Indie Press Revolution! and Compose Dream Games still has copies I think. Definitely worth it, one of my most used RPG books

    Great review, subscribed! I’m currently running a Stars without Number campaign, and probably couldn’t justify the spend for those 8 sci-fi monsters, but may return for it if I do WWN next. Do you have any recommendations for OSR sci-fi supplements?

    • @wasabiburger3047
      @wasabiburger3047  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm glad you liked it! :D
      And I'll be honest, sci-fi RPG content is a bit of a blindspot for me. I have some issues with the core Mothership stuff but there's a lot being made by 3rd parties for that label that could be useful. I was running some Mothership modules in SWN and the conversion wasn't too bad thanks to the base bestiary stuff in SWN. There's also Death In Space which might have some good stuff in there and even the DCC off shoots have a lot of sci-fi content like Star Crawl but I have no personal experience with them so I can't speak to their quality :) Wish I could be more helpful!

      @@wasabiburger3047 This is really helpful, many thanks, will definitely check out the mothership 3d party stuff! Yeah, it's an interesting thing that there's so much more in fantasy.. I wonder how that came to be? Perhaps simply that Gygax was into LOTR rather than Foundation...

    Dude I would soo love to watch your videos, but there are times when you just mumble a whole sentence so quickly I don't undestand a thing. 😀 Which is a shame, because I love DCC and you are one of only few youtubers out there covering it (and other systems too ofc). Oh and I admit, in case it hasn't been apparent yet, I'm not a native english speaker, but I do undestand pretty well usually.
    Please, mind your presentation a bit. A video is not a race against time, is it? Thanks! 🙂
