To clarify the Jermaine bar, Jermaine Jackson is Michael Jackson's actual brother (both in Jackson 5, he had a lot solos and was arguably as talented as Michael, but was pushed to the side for Michael's leading role and solo career), and Drake is comparing that to how Kendrick does his "brother" J. Cole (Jermaine is his first name), by constantly putting himself above Cole despite claiming that they're homeboys. That's a bar right there.
Jermaine Jackson wasn’t anywhere near as talented as Michael.

Drake is doing an amazing job flipping everything and making it catchy. And Kendrick is doing an amazing job painting a narrative. Absolutely the best rap beef ever. Both of these guys are playing to their strengths perfectly.

This was actually an amazing diss track, but what Kenny did was a genius move by dropping another bomb within an hour of release, this is the highest level of hip hop we can get in ages in my opinion 🔥
My head canon is that Kendrick baited out Family Matters with 6:16 in LA to make Drake think he could get one up on him by releasing right after him, and then immediately dropped meet the grahams which is the real song as soon as Family Matter dropped.
It is a good diss but not a proper reply to family matters he didn’t adress most of it since it was less than an hour after

What I really dislike about Drake’s diss tracks is littered between some genuinely good disses are an absolute dumpster fire of lies.
Saying Baby Keem was a ghost writer on GKMC, he was 12 at the time.
Saying he never went back to his hood to plant money trees and give back to his community, there’s literally a decades worth of articles about his donations to charity, philanthropy and personal connections he kept during his times affiliated with the Pirus.
Insinuating he never took a pic with his son when he said he never picked him up and said cheese is also an absolute lie that’s so easy to dismiss in a single google search. People do know about Kendrick’s son but he is simply doing the responsible thing as a father and keeping private life private.
Also on Taylor Made Freestyle he made 3 separate bars about how Kendrick was scared to drop because of Taylor Swift’s album while Drake has a line on Red Button saying she’s “the only one who can make me drop an album a little later”.
In a feud where one of your largest critiques is you are a liar and master manipulator you’d think he would try and win by not doing either of those?
