- "Event Horizon" linocut.
Process of carving and printing the "Event Horizon" linocut by Oleg Lipchenko, May 2023. I've printed a couple of the first prints of a limited edition of my large (24”X30”) lino with ball-bearing baren and spoon. It took about an hour and half to get a crisp print with rich blacks. Slowly, I agree, but a completely controlled process and does not require an etching press or any other heavy and expensive equipment.
My name is Oleg Lipchenko, I am an artist - painter, graphic artist, illustrator.

What a beautiful piece of work.
Thank you! I'm glad you like it!
It must be so satisfying. Also knowing you can reproduce the exact print. Thanks for sharing ❤
My pleasure 😊
Wow! Amazing!!
Thank you!
totally awesome! have discovered your work through this video, including your pen and ink drawings which are similarly moving. also good to know you can make prints that large without a roller, good for us cooking spoon users in home studios 😆
Thank you! I'm glad it was helpful! I'm going to make a short video of DIY ballbearing barens for relief printing I did myself. Those things (barens) allow you to print any size, though the process is a way slower than with etching press.
@@studiowebsite looking forward to that!
Wow! Astounding and beautiful work. I am fascinated. Thank you for sharing your work.
