Cool on the new house tour, when you or if you do decide to go back just take him with him with you. This way you both can have a better idea and decision making on the house. You really don’t have to make a quick decision on it, look around for other choices then if they’re not what you both want then go back to the first one. It’s a hard choice but you both can and will make the right one.

Shopping for a house is one of the worst things to shop for. Rarely would you like, or love, EVERYTHING about any given house. There's always going to be something, whether it's something you'd change, or have changed, or not.
That strainer/colander you showed... Personally, at best, I'd use it for plants. I'd get a base piece to put it into and continue creating from there. If you use it for food then there's plenty things that could easily fall out.
