    Some countries/cultures maintain the afternoon break or "siesta" when they have their nap after lunch. Shops and most everything shuts down until 3 or 4, but then they stay open later into the night, like 9pm.

    Today’s trip was weird. I use this video a lot, but today I was dreaming almost immediately and then I had a moment when woke, completely disoriented (disorientated?). Ten seconds later, I was asleep again, and then 10 seconds after that the video ended. I can only describe it as a wild trip. However it sounds, I loved every minute of it, as usual. 😊

      Correct! If you listen with speakers, you get an acoustic (or monaural) beat. Headphones are required for the binaural effect.

      Suggestions...
      - get a good dose of bright light (ideally sunshine) in the early morning (at least 30 minutes worth)
      - take a 20-minute nap between 12 and 2, but not later.

      You could try blue light, since blue light is high in early morning to late afternoon/early evening sunlight your body uses it as an external time reference. Blue light can cause insomnia when viewed up to 3 hours from bedtime, usually from TV, computer, tablet, or cell phone use.

      Push through it and through the exhaustion; force yourself to sleep in short cycles (like 30 minutes),if consistent, your brain will eventually fall into a routine of short cycles in which you will fall asleep within a minute and always have some REM , so your brain will start getting recovery benefits even from these short naps. But you gotta FORCE yourself to GET UP; no snoozing or you will just end up with your circadian rhythms even more fucked than now.

    I don't nap all the time, but more than most people. My job is demanding of attention to detail and deadlines. I cannot afford mistakes, so some days I will take a 15 mins nap and feel AMAZING. Btw I don't ever nap like this without your 15 min binaural video. It helps me get into the state and accomplish what I need. Without it sometimes the 15 minute nap turns into much longer. Some days I just haven't gotten enough sleep because of my toddler, and those are the days when I can go 20 to 30 minutes. Either way I don't want to waste too much time napping, sometimes I don't even have that kind of time with my toddler around. Your videos are the best!

    My favourite seems te be 35min, although I tend to use them as cheats, during weekdays I tipically get 4h of sleep wake up to drive my girl to night shift and after arriving home and time being 4:30 am I can't fall asleep right away, so I use a calming music for 45min folowing your 35min binaurals. Seems to work. I used your 90min sleep cycle but the result was not as good. Either is not optimal though. Any advice?

    • @bestbinauralbeats
      @bestbinauralbeats  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like your sleep schedule should be conflicting pretty hard with your circadian rhythm! If you aren't able to do anything about the schedule, you'll need to start getting crafty with the use of bright lights and red goggles to simulate the sun rising and falling when you want it to.

    I love 20-minute power napping because I'm a really vivid dreamer, so once I dip into that brief Theta state I have these little "dreams" that come between sleeping and waking.

    I nap most days and strangely enough I wake up refreshed without an alarm most of the time after exactly 17min. Which is why I wish you had a 17min one. Right now I just fast forward the 20min by 3min and start there. Not sure that’s recommended though.

    • @bestbinauralbeats
      @bestbinauralbeats  ปีที่แล้ว

      hehe, nice! That's a very specific number. I think it'd drive people crazy if I had 30 power nap tracks though (every minute from 6 to 35 minutes)... 😅

      Play the 20min power nap at 1.25 speed? Turns out to be 16 mins but, I'm not sure if it works the same as the "wobble" is sped up.

    There is enough going on in my life with sleep care--and it is important to me to listen to my body . My body says , every day,....nap. And the research is right on in that the greatest need is somewhere around 2. I am ready to go prone and zonk out while watching a half hour TV show. Its always the commercial at the end that wakes me..as they are always louder than the program. After that ..I am up ..finishing chores...cooking and getting things prepared for the next day. Now I will skip the television and make a conscious effort (if I am at home.).to plug in my headset and listen to your Power Nap video on my Iphone. Another step closer to having full control on my sleep needs and healthier lifestyle! I'll ket you know where I land...If 20 works...cool. If I need more I will shoot for 30. Thanks again!
