Marines were low-key the most OP faction to play as in this game's multiplayer. Sure, the Aliens and Predators had all the abilities and gadgets, but most of the time they had to get close to actually kill someone. Marines had the weaponry, and if they saw a predator or an alien player, chances were they were gonna shoot the shit out of them.
Yeah i hear ya. Predator needed more range weapons or just be VERY strong at melee, which he should be. Same with the alien. If either of them closed the gap, the marine should die, not be able to block and counter stun the Predator/Alien. Though the Predator/Alien grab spam ruined the game for me.
My memory was that it took a bit of skill to be a marine. When your play group mostly consisted of alien pred mains being a marine meant firing your gun was a dinner bell for the rest of the map. Dealing with one enemy meant you were too tied up to see another coming up behind you or lining up that spear throw
@@screenname6829 I have had the same experience, as marine you were always on your guard, kind of like a really sweaty warzone player today. And if you even heard the slightest hint of Alien or Predator, you immediately had to go into constant block mode and look around like your life depended on atleast seeing who's E-grabbing you from behind, munching on your face or tearing out your entire bone structure. "Don't relax just yet, marines!" wasn't just a quote from the NPCs in the campaign, it was lowkey a tutorial hint for Multiplayer.
Same. The OTS in the game is good. It has that Aliens feel, but I never really had that epic feel with it. With AVP3 you get horror, tension and that heroic feel to it. Which also makes me wish with some of the guns in this game would appear in Fireteam. Like the Sniper, Shotgun, flamethrower, and pistol.
Tensions are riSING! AHHHHH!!! They're coming outta the god damn walls!! GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE NOW!!!!!! *pulse rifle fire, alien screeches, acid sizzling*
Dude playing on nightmare mode and doing the final mission was so actually hard and the music only made it more badass. Fight for your life to escape a xeno infested planet and escape buy Killin whalin only to find out its an android
To be honest, it was very difficult for me to pass that part in Nightmare and I had already finished it with what I thought were the most difficult, that is, Xenomorph and Predator in Nightmare
I tried the marine campaign on hard, but never beated it (Nightmare?no thanks! as predator only, marine is scary). Even tho I already know some parts, the game is good enough to keep scaring me.
this would also work for Star Trek First Contact LOL. They have adapted to every modulation of our weapons, ITS LIKE WE ARE SHOOTING BLANKS! Captain we have lost the Enterprise, we must Evacuate while we still can and self-destruct the ship!
I beat this game on Marine with the hard difficulty before nightmare. I ALMOST beat it with Nightmare but the Praetorian encounter number two in the labs keeps killing me.
+Colin Clark Oh please. The praetorian has no issues in moving, while player's character can only run fatass - run (like <10 meters, then several seconds of heavy breathing, possible heart attack, repeat). At Worst i have done that part dozens of times, just because i was unable to avoid direct combat even for a bit.
im not that good as marine in mp matches but i kick ass in survivor and i find the marine campaign to be the best. It had a movie feel and it was scary as f***
“Marines, we are leaving!”- Cpl. Dwayne Hicks
It was "drake we are leaving!"
Don't let your guard down!
"Fucking A"
"They're coming out of the walls! I NEED- *static* "
"Sentry one is down, find the command laptop, and get it back online!"
I constantly listen to this track, its my "Escaping the semester" desperate song.
Don't relax just yet marines!
Don't let your guard down!
It's hilarious the way the Marines just repeatedly say that over and over, since they all die anyway lol
Is that movement?
We got movement beyond 25
@@Too_Lazy_To_Finish
it’s here!
@@TheLane1976 was that movement??
Helldivers got this track squatting in my brain rent free
This song is awesome and everything, but it just doesn't feel the same without the sounds of Pulse Rifle fire and bugs dying left and right...
XD Yes!
Like metal Mario's theme song with his metal footsteps in smash 64...
@@XenoTronusWeePoo850 llppppppppppp
yeah lol
Has a mix of Aliens and Predator theme to it. Ultimately epic.
- How could they cut off the power?! they are animals - RIP Hudson
Brings back memories to playing Domination on Gateway, maxed out lobby and all experienced players. Best match ever.
The best part is that even today the multiplayer is alive on PC :D.
@@imbetterthanyou6927 Man how I wish this were the same with Xbox.
@@admiralfishface8750It's pretty rare but once in a while a server with usually 4 people will appear

I wish they put this epic masterpiece in "Aliens: Fireteam Elite"

Boy, that game is much more intense and complicated than this one.

Yeah, I’m doing a nightmare playthrough right now. I’m stuck in the labs right now as the chaos is so intense.
Best music of the game^^
Yes best thème game .
You god damn right
That moment when you have full ammo on the smartgun.
omg this song....
same here xD
i always have that creepy feeling that a xeno could be EVERYWHERE. ._______.
This song gives me Aliens vibes.
The scene where Ripley rescues the Marines or the fight in Operations
hisss am a xenomorph
here is a 40mike mike for ya

start with 28 days later main, continue with 6 vs Predators and top it off with C-block
AvP soundtracks activating your entire system
Don't relax just yet, marines!
That is why my favorite is the marine ^^

it's easy asf I just finished it on nightmare lol
Had the game nine years and I've never beaten Marine on Nightmare, dying without checkpoints is too frustrating
I play this music over the normal soundtrack for Natural Selection 2 when I'm playing marines.

Man, I hate to play as marine (get scared all the time)
I’m fine I just play as the alien and predator since I already beated all the campaigns
Also how the fuck can you get scared when you play as the young predator and 6
I used to be like this:
More enemies? Good, spray and wipe.
About to get cornered by 5 Xenos? They get the shotty
Guys, in aliens dark descent, when you're fighting a horde i strongly recommend this ost
*motion sensor pings*
Still a better Marine experience than Colonial Marines.
melhor soundtrack do jogo!!!!
Yeah, kind of hard to be remain calm when this soundtrack+ the aliens kick in.
Played this whilst going into fallout 4 masachusets state house epic
I recommend playing this song in fireteam elite, it is so epic
Marines are the best btw

VaciliNikoMavich Number two.... Isn't that in the pyramid's entrance bridge?
+VaciliNikoMavich To be fair, even with normal on, I still hated that damn lab Praetorian. Made of pure bitch.

+VaciliNikoMavich But the first one is not. Both me and Colin C. were talking about that fight.
