I re met a field marshal that my dad had bought new in 1947. It had been beautifully restored.. what a delight!
Thanks for the video. I really enjoyed it!
I have seen a handful of these in America. I was at a steam show last year and saw one. It's very rare here, it seems. Neat tractors
I was telling my wife about these old tractors. I love these old machines.
Hell yeah brother
I want one how much are they? Can they run 2 stroke oil
That’s one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen
Just watching this as it reminds me of younger days when the threshing machine came to the farm and the whole setup was powered by a Field Marshall. I noticed the registration number is JVO 441 and it reminded me that my grandfather's car, a 1948 "sit up and beg" Ford Anglia had the number JVO 431
Great old tractor, love the system of starting it.
Seems like the only electrical system on this thing are the lights.
@@twistedyogert keep it simple, less to go wrong.
Absolutely bloody magic !!! Oh thankyou so much for the vid.
So the match is basically like a glow plug.
Wonderful old British tractor
Quite the fandangle, but easier than a Fordson.
Fantastic.
Beautiful
A cigar-lighter-powered diesel-powered shotgun-powered tractor is the most American thing I've ever seen and I hate it /j
British tractor video is also British but I get what u mean 😂
@@TylerRead12 If John Deere became a 2nd Amendment advocate "If they take away our guns and ammo we farmers can't turn on our tractors!"
This made me cry
The kind of tractor that your grandpa would whip you good for if you didn't have a good reason for him to shut it off
Damn this is crazy. You need a full time training to master this.
Awesome
"must be a bugger if it stalls"
A third the work to start compared to the bulldog
А фитиль спереди это типа калильной свечи? Остроумное решение.
Exactly that, yes
Cuantos venimos por la cuenta de Adrián 5 cilindros?
😂😂😂. Otro mas!
Nie ma chuja, musi zapalić!
…it can also be CRANK started off the flywheel.
He mentioned that
No worries about anyone stealing that thing😂
I doubt they'd be able to start it.
"the easy way"
I call shotgun on that tractor
Hole new meaning to a shotgun start.😆👍
I bet once they got those started on the farm let them run all day. Of course, they probably used the crank to start it.
When you see how the front hops about at idle you begin to appreciate the stories how they could be left running on a muddy slope and end up a long way from where they were left originally.
I had a 1953 International Harvester which had a useless aftermarket electric starter. The easiest way to sraty the bloody thing was to tow it around the farmyard. Once started we just kept it running all day! That one was licensed for road use much to the horror of the local town! 😂
Goofy ahh tractor manufs really said: "i got this shotgun shell, what if we took out the pellets"
