Howdy guys, my name is Attorney Walter Rudolph Hnot, III. New Jersey born, MBA, JD, Master Mason and a tireless advocate for the homeless and low income who are seeking disability benefits. It's simple, if you are within the law's requirements for disability benefits, you get a check every month, and health insurance. No, it doesn't include a new iPhone, house or cool car, but, with your SSI/SSDI disability backpay, you can potentially get those things...with your own disability money :-). I created this channel because of how many crazy things I was hearing out in the general public on how this system works. I did library seminars, academia seminars, food truck seminars (which I prefer), etc...The online video platform is the best way to reach the majority of you guys.

My 21yr old daughter had her hearing yesterday w/her case presenting low IQ, several debilitating mental health conditions and you are spot on! You are a wealth of knowledge and helped things go smoothly. Thank you for all you do and give back to the community. You will be blessed, as you should be.

I went through that . The Judge was very understanding and patient . Thankfully as I was a juvenile at the time my father was allowed to be with me and answer certain questions in more detail when the Judge needed the details that I personally didn't have . I was found to be permanently disabled due to my condition and it directly affected all aspects of my life . Unfortunately I have a double whammy as I have physical disabilities as well , my back is bad , I have severe arthritis in my knees and they love to give out and I'm lucky when I can actually move around without pain on those days where the arthritis is acting up . Tylenol Arthritis Extra Strength is my best friend on those days .
It just would be nice if people out there were not so condescending and nasty about people who have disabilities that prevent them from being able to work or from being able to keep a job etc. You don't know what those people are going through and just because you can't see the disability doesn't mean it isn't there . Just because someone can walk and breathe and eat doesn't mean they aren't disabled .

Hey there. I’m trying to comment on the video about Ssi being able to come search your home if special needs.
Isn’t that taking away constitutional rights? Or does being on SSi take those rights that the police can’t even do.
I understand maybe checking on someone but saying they can search someone’s house or rental or take away any other constitutional rights that any “normal “ free person in America has.
Doesn’t just seem like a violation of constitutional rights but also discriminating against the poor.
So because someone is poor and or has a disability means they don’t get to keep their rights ?
Btw love your videos. It’s very kind of you to spend a lot of your time making the videos , but I have a lot of respect for you for not only helping the poor and disabled, but also putting some information out there They’ve made the system so tough to understand and keep up with , i don’t know how they expect a person w a mental disability , or little to no education can understand and keep up with all the paperwork they send and changes.
Thanks for being a such a noble person and putting a lil info out there that poor cant afford a lawyer for to understand.
    Take care.
You are making a difference. I’m sure it seems like a thankless job editing video at 3am though. lol

I have bipolar 2 with dysphoric mania and akathisia, fired from last 2 jobs, almost stabbed my husband, hear voices and see shadows, can't focus or concentrate, and I was denied and appeal denied. Hence, retained attorney and hearing in January

Yes, there's what's called an "on the record" ruling. While my disability was clearly provable, the paralegal took no chances. In addition to medical, she got letters from friends, managed to get ambulance reports, and more. We submitted close to 200 pages of evidence, and asked for an on the record ruling.
      However,
I was told later that the judge's secretary didn't like the extra paperwork involved in those decisions, which explained why the request disappeared from my submission. When the judge granted an OTR, the look on her face said it all.
      Be prepared...

I was diagnosed Bipolar 2 disorder and was approved on the first application for SSDI. I did have to meet with their doctor for evaluation, and it was about 9 months before I received a tentative approval during an in person follow up appointment with a local SSA office, but they couldn’t discuss/disclose benefit amounts/back payment. That came a couple weeks later in the mail. Since then, I’ve had two follow-ups providing updated medical records/status. The last letter from them said they would reach out to me if they need to get more information about my situation otherwise they don’t need anything further at this time. I’m 52 so I don’t know if that’s being factored into their schedule of not giving me a timeframe for their next contact.

An attorney is a must! I am happy you retained one.
I had a friend go through my lawyer and they were successful. I got SSI for my daughter with autism, ADHD, and a feeding tube, because we used the lawyer she recommended.
Then I was in an accident that caused me permanent disability, I had them write and file the paperwork for me. They were with me every step of the way.
I highly recommend having an attorney ❤

I had a head injury and have subsequent CNS damage and Dysautonomia. I was tricked out of my benefits by a SS worker and had to go thru years long process to get it back. They made me homeless, losing everything I owned, which forced me to go place to place which starts the process all over again. One of my conditions is recall on demand - I don't and it's only later I remember answers to questions. I had a hearing which my representative attended with me but waited until we were walking into the hearing room to tell me she couldn't speak. The judge used my disability against me asking me questions for which I did not know or recall the answers. I was denied and had to go live in a homeless shelter for 18 months while I appealed. The man reviewing my appeal was set to deny it when I told him I had already been on SSI for 15 years prior. He approved me and I haven't had an issue since. Forcing a disabled person with memory issues to testify against themselves should be outlawed. On top of that I never received any back pay.

I once fell off a slide at age 3 and hit my head. I appeared to be fine according to my mother. I don't know about that. It could be why I have learning disabilities today. It was so long ago I completely forgot until I read through old papers relating to my case. They are of course all scanned. I had a close friend or family member do it on my computer with their scanner. They have one with an automatic feeder. I have a flatbed but it would take ages to scan all of that with it. I just had it done on my computer so they would not have copies on their computers of my stuff. I backed them up on multiple external USB devices some of which are hard drives which will retain the date longer and more reliably than flash memory.
I would not go to the SSA to answer questions without my attorney present or at least one an attorney who is good at disarming their question traps.

Does the recall on demand have a particular name to it? I have it too, ever since my accident and I try to describe it but if I knew the name for it I think it would really help me..

This video is giving me so much anxiety. This crap is why I don't/ can't even apply for disability despite not being able to work & barely leaving the house. The process is too long, too invasive & too overwhelming. Plus, I moved 3 years ago & don't have Dr's to back me up because I can't even do all that. I never answer my phone unless I know who's calling & I want to talk to them & I suck at actually calling people back for appointments if they called about a referral. & my memory really sucks to remember to do things & call people. I hate to do lists, too. Staying up til 5am? It's usually more like 6am or later before I can sleep. & if I take benadryl to sleep, I have to pee every 5 mins, it feels like. Yeah, ssi would be nice, but the process is too overwhelming for me. I haven't worked in several years, zero kids (we have cats) & I'm a homemaker & my boyfriend works & pays the bills. I can clean & take care of him, the house & the pets (& clean up after his friends that we live with & their 2 dogs).

On same meds but the sleeping med barely works at all as it's a generic. The true med would cost me plenty!
At least bc I dry fast & fast I can take the other one less often and that helps me sleep as does Infinite Isolate CBD, the one with no THC in it. The sciatica from three pinched nerves, nothing helps unless I would get a scrip such as Tylenol 3 but that can make me sick to m stomach. Thx Walter.

Generic has exactly the same active ingredient. The binders are the only difference. That's what they say. The FDA said it, not me.

@@hallieadams4225 The FDA also says that anything labelled organic can have up to 5% of ANYTHING including arsenic added in. I don't trust my govt at all. I've had the non-generic sleeping med, there's a huge difference between that and the real thing, even looked it up on blogs, everyone says the same thing, sigh.

I am part Irish, once I get upset it can be difficult to get me back to normal. I never needed a shot to help with it but I will have to take a break from whatever situation got me worked up. It and other symptoms are signs of ADD and I do believe there is mention of it in the papers from my attorney. I have them scanned and backed up on multiple external drives and stashed the paper ones somewhere safe even though I can print new ones with these scans. It would just consume a fair bit of paper and toner. Toner because I ditched inkjets a long time ago. I cast those wicked money sucking devices *OUT* !!! If you are just doing back and white a laser is great and the print is much crisper than from an inkjet (assuming the inkjet still works).
