8:15 we saw Snowl in Ryan Yu’s deck game 1 so provided he has it still in main deck he does have lethal. Summon all 4 birds, then empen, then snowl off the map. Snowl goves you 3 summons, and you haven’t used any of them yet. Summon 2 small birds, then summon a big bird with the 3rd. All 3 big birds have 2700+ atk, 2700*3=8100 gg

I'm pretty sure snowy doesn't give you 3 free summons off the rip. It lets you normal summon the birds 3 times that turn, but if you've already normal summoned 3 times it doesn't give additional ones

@@data83035 Yes it does. normal summoning off a card effect and "conducting" a normal summon are two completely different things, and neither impedes on another. The map would impede on your ability to use your game mechanic normal summon by that logic. Snowl's effect states "During this turn, you can CONDUCT up to 3 Normal Summons/Sets this turn, not just 1."

I was about to argue they didn't have Blackeyes access (DP Cosmic on Town and Moerk on Empen seemed mandatory, all Shipyards/Enchantresses had been searched, no Blackbeards left in ED), but I didn't realize that Shipyard can actually set itself off of returning an equipped Extra Deck monster. I mixed the effect up with Jord, where returning an Extra Deck monster "to hand" doesn't put Jord in scale due to an "and if you do" clause (I knew Shipyard had one too, but now I see it sets itself THEN bounces an equip). Clearly, I need to re-read my Plunders.
Of course, even without Blackeyes access, this was a Plunder win. Plunder player isn't Runick-locked lol, all it takes is banish Town+Empen to swing for game. Hell of a match honestly, close games like these are the ones I love the most.

Floow player hard misplay on the EM. He had advent set he could've activated it at the start of BP protect the Empen and then search for Map. EM just never mattered after that. Even if advent got ashed, he still would've protected the Empen

Mega Raiza shouldn't have returned anything in game 2. While Mega Raiza is mandatory to activate, it can only select targets for the first part (return to top of deck) if there is both a legal target on the field and a legal target in the GY. The additional target for tributing a wind monster could still be chosen, but it is optional, so you do not have to select for that in either situation.

I’ve seen conflicting rulings regarding this, re whether you resolve as much as you can vs nothing resolves. Might be a head judge call?

@@handswipe dandylion is also a card with a mandatory activation but doesn’t summon any tokens if there is only 1 monster zone left. What batsmak said should be the correct ruling

@@handswipe you resolve as much as possible, but because Raiza must target a card on the field AND a card in the GY, it's an all or nothing situation for selecting the targets. If something happens to one of the targets you still return the other one to the top of the deck, but both must exist to target in the first place.

Actually Raiza can target one card if only one card can be targeted. Database also has an entry there where it specify a scenario where only 1 card was legal to target.
