Thank you for demonstrating. I just received same tenor Enya a week ago and I love it. I'm a pianist who wanted to learn a new instrument at 70 with some arthritic fingers. I'm so very pleased with the size of it, (I had tried the concert and didn't quite embrace its petiteness). I also had the low G put on, and now slowly trying to memorize chords and develop some calloused fingertips! I do love having the visible metal frets to assist and also find it pleasant to experiment with various sound effects built in. Forget about the electronics. What is most important to me is exact intonation. Without that, all ukuleles sound bad. I play up to the 14th fret regularly and even higher for a couple of tunes. Tell us if the intonation is correct or off. Make a video about it. For those who don't know; fret each string at the 12th fret and then play the same string open. Do it for all four. Use a tuner. If the intonation is correct, both the low and high notes will be in tune.
That chorus sounds more like a delay. I've heard samples from older versions of these ukes where the chorus sounded like it's supposed to, which is like multiple layers of sound. I've watched someone's video recently where the man demonstrating the features turned the chorus knob to max and it sounded like chorus, dialed it back and it sounded like delay. He also commented that in order to get that delay effect you have to sacrifice some chorus. I'm wondering if it's a more recent addition to these ukes.
Hello and thanks for a nice tour of the Uke. I bought one recently, as well. I see you are using an amp with transmitter. I also got a NUX mighty air that comes with a transmitter. I’m having trouble with buzzing whenever I try to use that NUX transmitter. I guess you’ve had no challenges with that…which transmitter are you using? NUX recommends I try separating the transmitter from the unit with a short section of cable. Have that in order, coming today. Short elbow did not work, also buzzed. Cable is fine, but just not 2023 😂. Be well

Hi ! The TENOR you have has visible frets as oppose to the nova U in black it , it’s like not visible frets. For me as a beginner, I don’t think it would be a good idea. What do you recommend please ? 😢
Absolutely... its a great uke with a great sound, and super durable. The only thing I don't like about it is the case as it's not very durable. Happy Strumming 😊
Also... visible frets is a definite advantage. I've also heard reports that the non-wired frets aren't as durable and long wearing as the wired frets 😁 Hope this helps Kim
Would this be too difficult for a beginner to play because it is a tenor? Would you recommend going for the nova soprano or concert instead if we are new to playing ukulele? Thank you for your video!
If I Were a beginner who had NEVER played uke before, I'd be starting on a uke for around the $100 mark...so you can see if you like it and wish to stick with it. After that, the world of uke options is infinite...and the Enyas are wonderfully durable ukes that sound great too. Size wise, it all depends on personal preference, which can only be established once you are familiar with how the instrument works. I personally only use a soprano in the classroom. All my other ukes are Tenor or Baritone. Having said that, concert size is always a nice size to start on. Go to your nearest music store and try out a few different sizes to get a feel for the difference between them. I learnt on a cheap $20 Mahalo then 12 months later upsized straight to a Tenor. Hope that helps.
Nikki, any size is fair game for any level of player. Even little kids who are learning can use a tenor; it's still smaller than any guitar out there. I find anything smaller than a tenor to be difficult for fretting certain basic chords, such as a Dm. Jim

I have just the same in concert size but without metal freats. It feels so good :)
The ENYA NOVA U with AcousticPlus Pickup is available in the Concert size...however the concert does not have the metal frets. :-(

You are correct... that dial has chorus on one side and delay on the other.
