dunno if anyone gives a shit but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been binge watching with my gf for the last weeks =)

Thanks for the video Matt. Having been on BA 1 & 2 I can confirm it is an all business class service with 8 rows of 2+2 seats. Actually it often flies somewhere between 30% and 80% full, it's not very often completely full. I am going on it again a few times early next year. The SNN stop allows the A318 to refuel and for a flight crew swap, the cabin crew stay the same. The passengers all clear US immigration and customs at SNN whilst the aircraft is refuelling, and this means that when you land at JFK you land as if a US domestic flight so no immigration and customs, just grab your bags and go. BA3 used to preclear at SNN but the US CBP reduced their hours at SNN so it now lands there and refuels only, and you still have to clear immigration and customs at JFK.
Also thanks to your stream a few weeks ago I went to. Flightdeck Experience in Bacup yesterday and really enjoyed it. Already have a few more session booked.
***** U also go trough US Customs at Shannon, while the crew is swapped and the plane is refueled :)
What happens is while the plane refuels, passengers can pre-clear US Customs so that they can fly in as a domestic flight. More convenient for the business passengers.

Oh, and they do actually offload the bags at SNN. Basically they go and CBP take a photo of each bag. When you go through immigration and customs they show you a photo of your bag and ask you to confirm it is yours. Then it goes back on the plane.
What a great video Matt. It also made me decide to buy the 318/319 when it's released. Watching your videos in the man-cave in the evening with a cup of coffee (kids asleep) is always a nice way to wind down. Keep them coming. :)

usually what happens when this flight arrives is it parks at the side of the terminal. usually gate 2. the passengers get of the plane to use border clearance and get back on. in the meantime the crew refuel the aircraft. i live near this airport

Nice video! The pax deboard the aircraft and clear US Customs while the aircraft is refueling. That way the aircraft parks at the domestic ramp at JFK and the pax will have no delays getting to their destination in New York or their connecting domestic flight. The Speedbird 1 and Speedbird 2 callsigns are the same as were used for Concorde. You're right that the aircraft is in an all premium configuration.

Im also looking forward to the a330 to be released, then the work there way up to the a380 that would be awesome! Something aerosoft do is put out products a bit sooner than pmdg, it will probably be 2022 when the 787 comes out :P

Ye that BA flight to JFK stops in Shannon for U.S Customs
They are doing the U.S. Customs there, but i think the actual reason is that they can't take off with enough fuel for an transatlantic flight from the short runways of LCY.

TrajanAviation Yep, thats why they can fly all the way back from KJFK. They burn off enough fuel to land.
It's for refuelling and U.S. Customs that way they don't need to do it in JFK Dublin and Shannon Airport has U.S Customs

Only usually see Embraers at City Airport along with Q400s and Avro Rj 80s/100s. Never seen an Airbus from living near here for 10 years.
It's a service that operates once a day. It's a fairly new thing. The landings into LCY are usually at night

Matt, in your Flight Plan, you use UL9 to GAVGO, UL18 to DIKAS, then UL9 again to SLANY. Why not just skip UL18 and go UL9 to SLANY?

Aerosoft did very big mistake by not implementing wingflex... Those stiff wings looks awful...
BTW app speed shouldn't be on the yellow bar... I hope it will be fixed.. And Yes, I know it's W.I.P.

Colin LenznerD: Don't sing the same song like Aerosoft guys does... They're just too lazy, or lacking skills to make it Realistic enough. For those who has fps drop due wingflex, there should be an option to disable it... Ofc, you're right, I'm always flying in the cockpit, but while cruising and when I see stiff wings ( like they're on the ground ), that's really baad... Just my opinion, no offense.

great vid as always, but I don't like A318s as much as 319 and up :( Same reason I don't like 737-500 or it's NG counterpart the -600. They all seem too short/stubby.

Will it run okay on a laptop? I have a new laptop, windows 8.1 and a very good video card. I downloaded a trial version of FSX, and it ran wonderful.

I had problems with steam account full stop , Heard a lot about P3D , dont know if my pc can handle new sims , Ive got an old xeon quad core geforce gt 630 card , not exactly 4k graphics , lol

Matt I'm a noob in FSX, how do you start all of your flights from the gate with the stairs set up? Whenever I launch up my flights they start with engine on from the runway. Thanks.
+Football Fives When you choose your departure location, and your landing location, in the same page there is a gate selection. Normaly, on that option, you have 'Start from runway', just change it.
